I think he's missing something in there I saw the video as a statement about the monotony of our lives in the industrial/post-industrial age "Gotta have my bowl, gotta have my cereal" - this happens every day, it's a marker if you will of the passing of time. She spoons her life away in each mouthful she takes. Notice she says them separately, coincidence? I say not! You can have your bowl and your cereal, but you can't have them both. It is in this world of monotony that we can attain the individual keys to our satisfaction, but never them all together - we cannot achieve happiness as we are locked into our "bowl or cereal" lives, each day much like the rest. It's friday, saturday comes after - saturday is a time of rest and enjoyment, but it never reaches - the song is eternally trapped in Friday, "it's Friday, Friday." We will not reach the weekend, no matter how ready we are for it - our day starts on monday and ends on friday, our inevitable death. Indeed, that's where the message lies: "It's Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday." We have to enjoy our lives while we can, we cannot reach a position of nirvana in our lives due to the social-economic situation, so we must make the best we can of it - we "gotta get down on Friday," because "Saturday" never comes - "Partying Partying yeah!" "fun fun fun fun," we must enjoy "friday" to the best of our abilities!
