Am I the only one who wants to see Hasbro make shorts, like they did with EqG, but for the ONLY mlp gen (gen 2) that didn't get a series, just for nostalgia's sake? (Also, a mini series of subsequent shorts that featured cherry picked ponies from every gen, in the same universe) Can you guys see Hasbro doing this?
Hasbro doesn't make the older gen toys anymore, so they have no reason to advertise them. This seems unlikely to happen.
Mi Minty, Skywishes have long since infiltrated the G4 toyline. and half tbe mane cast of g4 are g3 ponies (Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo, Cherilee, Pinkie Pie) and blatant g3 reference in "too many Pinkie Pies" That's evidence enough
If they're in the G4 toyline, then they're now G4 ponies. They might end up having updated versions of the characters appear, but the old generation characters are long gone. Case in point: Applejack. She appeared in both G1 and G3, but not in any way that resembles her current personality.
ok fine. Let's just ignore the fact that Digimon (Digimon Tri), Pokemon (Pokemon origins), and Yugioh (Dark side of dimensions) brought back their original cast, (and did a crossgen movie, in Yugioh's case) on their biggest aniversarry, and original fans of the frachise ate it up. Let's just ignore the fact that Hasbro shouldn't follow suit, with not even a full length series, but cheap 2 minute shorts. Ok, sure
You're ignoring the fact that G3 was so wildly unpopular with anyone over five that to do a crossover would cause huge amounts of drama. Drama is rarely profitable to the company that causes it.
