Kojima leaves Konami for good! Kojima Joins Sony! A new Kojima Productions is a go! It's been made official. Hideo Kojima is now joining the gaming work force at Sony Computer Entertainment. With the light of this new development, it has been reported that Kojima has FULLY removed himself from Konami and will not speak further of it. He has built a new Kojima Productions and is already working on his first gaming IP with Sony. It could be anything. Who knows what the new front of 2016 will hold for Kojima and his amazing works. Keep in mind that this is a man that made Konami's Metal Gear series a smash hit. With Kojima now in the forefront of gaming for Sony, he can build Sony up to new heights. (Sorry for being a bit belated on this...)
While I haven't updated to the current generation of consoles yet, I have been leaning toward the PS4 when it comes to thinking about updating. Kojima's move to Sony Computer Entertainment has essentially guaranteed me going to the PS4 when I finally get around to updating (I am waiting for a wider variety of games to be available; only MGS 5 and Uncharted 4 have piqued my interest, for the most part). An interesting sidenote: I ended up ditching the Xbox 360 for the PS3 due to reliability issues in the Spring of 2010. Metal Gear Solid 4 in itself made the switch worth it.
The sad thing is him joining Sony makes it very unlikely that you get any of his games on PC. Did I hear a Bloodborne?
