In case you all haven't heard already... Equestria Daily is reporting that MLP: FiM S6 will be premiering May 2016.
What have I become my sweetest friend Oh, I was just explaining why I liked it. I read into 4's story as being romantic for a couple of reasons, those being primarily centered in Cortana's place in the story. In the first trilogy I could have seen Cortana being more like a sister or a friend, but not the new ones, mostly because Chief gets new people to fill those roles as the series goes on. He becomes friends with Arbiter, Johnson, Miranda, Lasky and arguably Locke; he has a parent-child relationship with Halsey and possibly Captain Jacob Keyes; he has sibling relationships with Kelly, Linda and Fred. The only thing that's missing is romance, and I find it very interesting that Cortana is closer than the sibling, friend and even the -- debatable -- parental characters. I think it's clear Chief feels emotion towards other characters, but he has a hard time expressing it; that's what that quote is about in 4, I think: "She said that to me once... about being a machine." The scenes where Cortana touches Chief and says, "I've waited so long to do that," really cemented it for me. That's just not usually a thing that friends would say or do. All the dialogue in that game reminded me a lot of relationships I've actually had, and the scenes in 5 where Cortana turns her back on Chief as he tries to reason with her really came off like two exes arguing. Ahahaha, I see what you mean. I only felt like I knew Chief's team through the animated short "The Package" and the Halo novels that I own, and I only felt like I really knew Locke and Buck from Locke's team because they were featured in Nightfall and ODST. Tanaka and Vale need more love.
Hmm... Maybe I should check those out then play 5 though again I've only really played the numbered Halos and Reach.
I think "The Fall of Reach" and "Ghosts of Onyx" were the names of the books with the Blue Team descriptions.
