*static* The mayor’s voice booms throught the city, stirring anyone who happens to be sleeping awake. And likely stirring a few hordes of Strange Ponies as well. “GOOD MORNING FILLIES AND GENTLECOLTS! IT IS SEVEN OCLOCK IN THE A.M.! THIS IS YOUR MAYOR, STUDS MCKENZIE, CALLING OUT TO YOU FROM CITY HALL! THE CANTERLOTIAN AIRSHIP HAS ARRIVED AND IS ACCEPTING PASSENGERS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS! WHEN THE SHIP FILLS, IT WILL LEAVE IMMEDIATELY FOR CANTERLOT AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS! INFECTION CHECKS WILL BE CONDUCTED AT THE GATE SO LEAVE YOUR STRANGE PONIES AT HOME! FOR THE REST OF YOU, I SINCERELY HOPE I SEE YOU THERE! AT THIS RATE, YOU HAVE AROUND FORTY-EIGHT HOURS BEFORE THE SHIP LEAVES! UPDATES WILL BE GIVEN EVERY FIVE HOURS BY MY ASSISTANT, MS. CHERRY BERRY!” A female’s voice purrs over the intercom, “Good Morning, Survivors. Please do, if you can, make your way to the airship immediately. It is located at the following coordinates:” She rattles off a series of numbers and cardinal directions. “For the layponies out there who do not have maps, it is on the northwesterly side of the island, near the Peckish Pony Diner on Seventh and Spruce. Good luck to all of you.” The intercom clicks off, signaling the end of the transmission. Spoiler: OOC You can be wherever you want on the island. You may be all together or separate, it’s your choice. In an undisclosed location somewhere on the island, a butterscotch tan unicorn peeks out from his 3rd story window. Giving a slight cough, he says to himself, ”It’s about time somepony started taking action…” He leans to his right and taps a corked glass container filled with a viscous, clear liquid. ”You have no idea how much I would like to be in Ponyville right now. But, I have work to do here.” He continues writing on several pieces of paper. When he finishes, he opens his window and throws them to the winds. ”Knowledge is power…”
"Everything's okay, they won't hurt you. Everything's okay, they won't hurt you. Everything's okay, they won't hurt you..." Heartburn lay on the floor in the middle of her house rocking back and forth, attempting to say calming words to herself. For the most part, they weren't helping. Her bag of stolen supplies lay a few feet away from her on a table. Laying down, she thought about what had become of the town. It was so peaceful, how did this happen!? The thoughts were short lived, as a voice on an intercom caused her to jump in surprise. “GOOD MORNING FILLIES AND GENTLECOLTS! IT IS SEVEN OCLOCK IN THE A.M.! It is located at the following coordinates:” “For the layponies out there who do not have maps, it is on the northwesterly side of the island, near the Peckish Pony Diner on Seventh and Spruce. Good luck to all of you.” What? They were...coming to help them? This was perfect! She could get out of this hellhole once and for all! Grabbing her bag, she dashed downstairs and nearly threw open the door before she heard a slight scratching somewhere outside. Oh yeah, stranges... Heartburn thought. For just the tiniest moment, she had hope again. Sulking back up the stairs, she sat down again to ponder how she would gain access to the airship.
He crawled on the rooftops, searching for his prey. But all the remaining ponies were either hiding or on their way to the airship. He heard a voice below. Then the beast crawled the side of the building and saw a pony in the middle of a floor through a window ,sitting silently thinking. It was Heartburn. He let out a low growl and smashed the window, then he jumped in.Ready to attack.
Heartburn's train of thought was rudely derailed as the window behind her splintered. Snapping up, she turned around to see a strange pony who had managed to bust through her window. She backed up and tripped over her own hooves, desperately trying to get a hold on her bone saw that was on the table next to the strange pony. The fear that gripped her was mind numbing, and she couldn't get her telekinesis to work. Grabbing hold of a few of her wits, Heartburn opened her mouth and screamed.
'Sailor was making it's way in the streets, trying to find ponies worth to save, or at least looked able to defend themselves. He was running on 3 ave, his rusty scimitar in his mouth, when he heard somepony screaming. There was a lot of ponies screaming, but this one attracted his attention. The voice seemed female, and came from an house on his left. He looked around, the strange ponies far enough to harm him, and decided to help the poor pony. From a broken window, he could see her, beeing threatened by one of those zombie-looking ponies. He jumped by the window, rolled behind the monster, and whistled. ''Over here, zooommbie~ M'flesh is so teeennnnder and soft~!''
HISSSSSSSSSSSSS*He continued to attack Heartburn,Ignoring Sailor. He pounced on Heartburn and attempted to claw her to death*
The Knave felt The Presence within. It expressed: Pleased. Quill turned toward his sealed sample of Grey Goo. He noticed that it seemed to be quivering. "Fascinating..." He flipped a page from his notebook and scribbled something down.
Gaze was walking through the streets avoiding anything with his pistol out ready to shoot anything with all of his stars ready to decapitate any strange ponies he heard a scream a the female's voice echoed through the alley. Gaze jumped at the sound and tried to make himself calm again he looked down the alley to see where the scream came from and there was a pony talking to the zombie? Gaze ran over to the house looking both ways for anything that could kill him and ran down the street he looked at the pony still trying to get its attention but this strange pony looked different Gaze backed up a little. "Maybe I shouldn't save her it's everypony for themselves," Gaze thought. But his good nature stopped him and he looked through the window and he raised his pistol and shot around the room to get its attention wasting 2 bullets.
Rashall was at the top of one of the tallest towers in the area, not to mention one of the safest. He had made it his base of operations, the tower was large enought to accomodate several ponies. As yet though Rashall hadn't found any other un-infected ponies, though maybe that would change today.
GRAARGH!!!!*He quickly turned to the pony armed with the pistol.Knaves are smart. He knew that this pony was a bigger threat than the screaming one.He jumped off Heartburn.Who is still alive. And attacked the Gaze*RAAAAAUURAAH!!!!
The gunshots also drew the attention of a pair of Strange Ponies that had been wandering across the street. These were deteriorated versions of an earth pony and a unicorn. The unicorn's eye sockets and horn shone a bright yellow color. A nearby lamp post sparked to life (lit up) as the magic affected the lamp. The Knave felt the Presence Within. It expressed: Threat. Assimilate. Spoiler: OOC Regular Strange Ponies can be auto-hitted. Think of these as minion-type enemies. They can appear in great numbers but they're very weak. Strangelings are more powerful and will be controlled by me (Except for the Knave. That's Sparky.).
'Sailor saw the two zombified ponies by the window, and decided to let the female pony defend herself against the first strange pony. He smashed some glass on the ground, and threw them at the unicorn-zombie, as throwing knives. Then, as fast as zebra-possible, he jumped by the window, to confront the earth pony-zombie.
Gaze scrambled he didn't know these different strange ponies were faster but he was at a window though he ducked immediately and raised out is pistol where he thinks the different strange pony would land.
The Strange Unicorn took the flying pieces of glass like a champ. Several shards struck its face and neck soundly, but other than having fresh pieces of glass stuck in it, it seemed unaffected as it continued coming forward. The Strange Earth Pony opened its mouth, while still a good distance away from its prey (Sailor). It moaned as it made its approach.
''Damn it, you monster!'', 'sailor yelled to the first strange pony, wich ran to a sane pony. He cutted the earth-zombie's head with a quick slash of his scimitar, and turned towards the broken window. He could see the female pony, paralyzed in fear ((i guess)) ''Stay here, you're safer than in the streets!''
Gaze scrambled to see that he was wrong "I shouldn't have helped!" Gaze thought he noticed he still had his star bubbles and he launched 4 at him at the speed to decapitate any regular zombie. Gaze raised his pistol in the monster's direction in case it dodges the star bubbles and tries to bite him ruining his chances of surviving through the city.
*He easily dodge the bubbles and jumps at Gaze.*AAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!*He misses his target but does manages to land on another rooftop*
'Sailor growled, entering in a rage. He took his scimitar, trusted the unicorn's head, and left it in the zombie's skull. He turned to the other pony. ''Y'a a'iight?''
Dark looked out from the top of the storm shelter that her and the surviving guards had taken shelter. Not one of the civilians who were with them stayed upon hearing the announcement, but certainly they were all strange by now because such a large group wouldn't have been able to make it very far without attracting attention. So instead she has been sending guards out in groups of 5 for the airship, with the orders to help protect it until the end. By now, it was only her and 4 others, so she turned to them. They were the guards that came with her to Manehatten several days ago, so all of them were pegasi personally trained by her, "Alright, the coast is clear, we keep to the rooftops and keep an eye out for any Strangers, got it?" "Yes Ma'm!" they replied. "Alright, let's move out!" and they took off, ending to the highest rooftop they could see in the area.
