It's me, SilverStarApple! And this time, I'm actually going to stick around for a while and make some friends! I like Pokemon, Naruto, One Piece, Ben 10, and of course, MLPFIM. I'm much happier and healthier than I was before, I'm into music, art, and animation, I'm gradually writing one of the longest pony fanfics of all time, and I've almost finished putting my OC in Mugen.
Ah. A returning member. I imagine long before I existed here. In any regard, I hope you enjoy your return stay with us. Even though this site is pretty dead most of the time now.
Posts rarely are daily anymore. It's only when anyone has the time to post anymore. Not to mention more than half the members have outright abandoned the site, either from leaving or to be on the respective Discord server. You'd be lucky to see more than 5 members on at once. Typically there are are 2-5 members on. Granted any of them get on. Lioconvoy, TrueDemonicFire, Rockout, and myself are the only ones that frequent enough to keep it going. Heck I've not seen Tyro in ages even. Not since last year or maybe earlier this year. Stuffy McPatch and Eluuna are doing their own thing with RPs most of the time. And they tend to be on more frequently namely for that.
I blame the show, I think it lost its magic after season 5 and lost its direction after season 3. Talking about bad episodes and why they suck isn't much fun, and neither is trying to justify yourself to one of those "Brand Loyalists" who think they owe eternal loyalty to the show and so do you. That's usually been my experience on pony sites. That, talking about non-pony-related things, and getting dragged into pointless highschool drama I want nothing to do with.
I'm sure that is certainly part of it. Though the reason the site is on a slow decline maybe more due to the Discord server. I think anyway. Ever since that was established, I've noticed more the active members dropping off the site in favor of Discord. Honestly, I see the Discord Server being more of the site killer, than the show itself. Well, in the case of this forum site anyway. Though a good amount is people moving on with their lives too. I honestly haven't really tracked the show in a long while. Not since... Season 4 I think. So I am far behind. More so, than most.
Welcome back!! And yeah, the Discord server is full of folks that were regulars on the forum for years. Guess it's fitting that a site called 'Discord' is slowly pulling the plug on a pony forum.
Welcome back, though this place has gotten pretty quiet as far as I know. Barely any posts, unfortunately. But still nice to see some users posting around the forums. I don't know if it's just me, but even the EP Discord server gets very little activity too. *le shrug*
Well, darn. Where did all the activity go? Did they finally make that Pony Facebook/Pony Twitter I remember people talking about a few years ago?
