Hello all!

I go by many names online, but I guess here y'all will know me as Cogspinner. I'm terrible at this introduction thing, really so I'll give it a right shot. Guess my name is indicative as to what I do, a mechanical engineering student with an aim for robotics in the future. My pony self and I are both probably a little older than a lot of people here, 30, but don't let that deter anyone. Uh, I have no real art to show Cogspinner but I play on Second Life (Further to be referred to as SL, on a mobile device after all.) as her, so I'll edit or reply to this topic with a screenshot when I get home from class in a couple hours (Provided I don't nap, that is! Finals are upon us!). But outside of the professional aims, I am a huge gamer at heart.

Let's see... I first got into the fandom in its infancy, when it was just spreading into /b/. I finally watched the show a little while before season two started and no longer just mingling and spending time in the community with little idea what was going on. Most of my experiences in the community is in SL where I learned a lot and found a group of my now closest friends. For the most, I had stuck to the Fallout Equestria area in my years of the fandom, eventually coming to inherit a roleplay area devoted to this.

I spent a long time bouncing to and fro about my OC, the poor gal being scraped and redone far too many times until I finally accepted my fate as an engineer and thus... Cogspinner was born. Still, she jumped between unicorn and pegasus and despite a lot of hate, I just settled on a winged unicorn... I have no interest in being a princess, no interest in being super special or powerful, I just never was able to choose and rather than bouncing back and forth, I just mixed them before I even knew that they had a huge stigma attached to them. I default to unicorn most times that the alternative is either unpopular or is disallowed which I did for at least two years, being a winged unicorn only in private or among closer friends. If there's RP here, I look forward to taking a step in and seeing how I got in here!
