Well, this is embarrassing... Okay, here's the deal... I'm 20 years old, and recently discovered I loved My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It's brilliant, and I wish I wasn't so skeptical of the show for so long. I just finished watching season 1, and I'm working on season 2. Now comes the part I need help with. I'm no artist, and until this point RIGHT NOW I've never contributed to a forum of any kind. I'm certainly not into any adult pony fan fiction, and though I do on occasion believe myself a weaver of words, I'm a robotic engineer and proud of it, with no real time to contribute my own stories. I wan't to meet the community, I wan't to spend more time with MLP, but with no real skills, what can I do? Where can I go? I wan't to be welcomed to the herd (I studied pony lingo ^^) but I have no friends, be they online or nearby, so I have no one to greet me, and no one to talk to. Is there anything I can do? And is there anypony who can or will help me? I know I'm a late blooming brony, but certainly there room for me somewhere? Boy that's a heck of a hello... But in any case, thanks ahead of time to anypony willing to help!

Thank You Thanks for the kind welcome Lyon! (Did I really sound that shy? I thought I was just confused!) I'd love to be friends! I don't know if it's normal to reply to a greeting on a forum... I don't know what's considered normal at all actually... still, thank you for replying none the less. I hope I can make more friends out there, even if I don't quite know how... It's a little confusing to say the least, I feel so stupid not knowing how to go around a forum, or even what I can do to contribute... I feel like I'm getting the ropes as i surf around though, so it shouldn't be too long before I get the hang of things! ^^

Oh, I see how it works now. I fish around the forums to find topics I find interesting or that I have knowledge in and feel I could be helpful with... That seems simple enough! I guess I just have one more question, is there any way to keep up with people you like? A friends list? A follow option? I'm sorry to sound so pushy, but I'm really surprised. hey there Welcome to eveypony I'm Yeti, nice to meet you well, answers to your questions: well, you don't have to have any art skills to be part of community. I have artistic skills of wooden plank, and I'm still part of the community. Doesn't mater, everypony here is somepony. as for friends list, when you go to your profile, you'll find one tab that says "Friends". There you can find everyone who you have on your friends list. There's 2 ways of someone getting on your friends list: 1) someone adds you as friend, and you'll get notification saying that xy user has added you as friends, and when you accept him/her, she/he will appear in your friends list. 2) you add someone to your friends list. You can do that by going to profile of user you want to add to your friends list, and on his profile, under profile picture, there should be one button that says "+ add to friends list". just click on it, say that you're sure about it, and when that user confirms you as friend you'll have him/her on your friends list. Also, lot of users here use skype, if you want to join in the skype fun, there's skype thread in general discussion.

Okay, a little bit more info and then I'm gonna customize my profile and get posting! I said I was a robotic engineer, which is true, if anyone has a tech problem, feel free to seek me out! I'm also a gamer, old and new school, and have speech and negotiation training. I'm mathematically inclined and an expert problem solver, and finally, I seek adventure any and everywhere.
