Hello all, Bronicus here. I have just moved to Ponyville and am looking for some friends. My older sister, Luna, wants me to study the magic of Friendship with Twilight Sparkle and her friends, but I wanted to make friends of my own. I have seen some ponies I am interested in meeting, like this Ditzy Doo I've heard so much about, as well as that one fellow who calls himself "The Doctor". And that one pony who is great at DJ-ing, what is her name, Vinyl Scratch? There are so many mares and colts alike I would love to meet. Signed with friendship in mind, Bronicus
Hi there my names Ecliptic. Not many ponies know this, but your sister and I go way back. I can show you around if you like and I can teach you a thing or two about magic. See you around!
Well hey Ecliptic! I'd love a tour of the city! I've heard so many great things about this town. The ponies here seem a lot nicer than the ones in Canterlot. They were pretty stuck up and never knew when to shut their hayholes. Any friend of my sister Luna is sure to be a friend of mine.
Ah, a new face! *shakes hooves* Welcome, Bronicius! My name is Zhono C Veranhaut (the "C" is silent), and I am one of the mage healers in this fine town. I guess you could say that I'm kinda new here myself, but so far the town is very friendly. Oh! I'm sure my boy- erm... friend, Kios, would enjoy meeting with you as well. *smiles sincerely, though somewhat nervously* You mentioned The Doctor? Yes I do believe I've met him before. We are of a similar disposition you know, both of us having a knack for exploring the unknown. He's a nice colt, very intelligent as well. I believe he mentioned that he was college professor at one point. Anyway, I'm sure you'll like him when you meet him. I have one question, though. What led you to move away from Canterlot and to Ponyville?
Nice to meet you Zhono. Well, my oldest sister Celestia has been babying me for the past 25 years and it's getting old. She constantly doubts my ability to raise the Sun, but I need to try or else I'll never get any good at it. Nopony really understood me in Canterlot either. My special talent is to be the balance between the Sun and the Moon, but I was born 50 years late. Everyone holds this against me in Canterlot, so I moved here. I haven't heard a single pony say anything against me since I've gotten here. And having a coltfriend isn't anything to be ashamed of. Not that I want one, but love is one of the most powerful kinds of friendship there is.
Indeed. The ponies here are incredibly welcoming and love to meet newcomers. As for raising the sun, that's an important job! I'm sure you'll be great when the time comes though.
Well, I just want to prove myself. Everypony expects greatness from me, but I have yet to have the chance to let my greatness shine.
That can be annoying. I know a trio of fillies with the same sort of frustration. Just remember that when the time is right you'll get your chance. Be patient and show everyone how great you are at the right time, instead of trying to force it.
That's another reason why I came to study the magic of friendship, to try and find some magic I'm good at (even though I'm a master at magic (not trying to boast, my sister said it first)) and find some friends. I love my family, but there aren't many people in Canterlot I can call friends. All they want is to kiss my flank enough times because I'm the prince. Titles are silly and I try to avoid them as much as possible.
I can kinda understand. I used to work as the sisters' elite bodyguard. Everywhere I went, ponies were terrified that they had done something wrong and were going to be banished. I couldn't buy so much as a cookie without the shopkeeper packing his things. Looking back it was funny, but it was irritating at the time.
Heh, indeed. Especially when they have nothing to fear. I remember when the other magi used to cower over me back in my hometown. Just because I was only one in my class that could summon a tsunami at an early age... It's not like I'd use it on them. And, thank you for your reassurance about the boy-... erm... "coltfriend" thing. Normally I'm pretty open about it, and the people here in Ponyville as well as in Alicorn's Horn don't have a problem with it. It's just... Well, I really didn't know how you would react, and I didn't want to have a problem like the last time I was in Canterlot... *Zhono shudders slightly at the memory*
I was always taught acceptance and tolerance are the best policies. I cannot stand ponies who aren't tolerant of others who have different beliefs, lifestyles, and choices then others.
And thank the Lord for that. *Zhono's ears perk up as he hears familiar hoofsteps approach* ???:Zhono! Zhono:...Ah! I think that's him now. *turns to a sort-of odd-looking colt with the ears, tail, and coloration of a gray fox* Kios! I hope your herb foraging is going well? Kios:Very well, actually. *Kios smiled and lightly kissed Zhono on the lips before continuing* I think I have enough to create a specialized Invigoration Potion that might help with matters requiring strength. *he looked at the newcomer* Who's your new friend? Zhono:Oh, where's my manners? This is Prince Bronicus, Princess Luna's brother. Bronicus, this is Kios, my coltfriend. Kios:*he respectfully bows to Bronicus* It's is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, your highness.
Please, I don't like that title. I haven't earned the right to be called "Prince" of anything. Bronicus is just fine. You two look so precious together! I wish I could find some mare willing to date me that isn't afraid that my sisters would send them to a dungeon or a prison for not complying. So, Kios, you were herb foraging? That sounds really interesting!
(Sorry about this but I like always doing it 3rd person and in story form you can tell me if you would like me to change it towards what every pony else is doing) Kamlin was walking down a road to see a group of ponies talking he knew the other two ponies but the third seemed new around this place "well.. might as well introduce myself," he thought to himself. He walked to the group and looked at the stranger pony, he poked his glasses up so it would make him see again "hello, my name is Kamlin the owner of the bookstore," he said in a monotone voice. He poked his glasses up once again and the light shimmered off his glasses making him look intimidating.
(It's all good, my fanfics aren't in first person. You can do this in 3rd person if you'd like, but a lot of us will be doing it in 1st) Nice to meet you, Kamlin. The name is Bronicus. I'm actually going to be staying in a place with a ton of books, myself. Twilight has offered me her guest bedroom. What's your favorite book? I enjoyed reading a play recently called "Poneo and Juliet" and it was a very good love story.
Kamlin looked at Bronicus "ah.. Poneo and Juliet a love story but the ending is perfect when Juliet watches Poneo die and kills herself," he laughs, "my favorite book..". He looks at his watch and he jumps "oh dear! I'm almost late for work!," he exclaimed, "why can't my work hours be less,". He dashes off towards the south leaving a pile of dust but you do notice he dropped something a jewel encrusted staff.
Hey, sorry I ran off like that. I thought you all might like a treat from Sugarcube Corner. On a related topic, if you see a pink pony freaking out around you, that's normal.
*suddenly, a small, blue dormouse popped out of Zhono's fur at the mention of the Sugarcube Corner" Doormouse: *slightly excited* Chu? Kios:Yes, Cyan, somepony mentioned the Sugarcube Corner. Cyan:*hopping up and down, giddy as can be* Chuchu! Zhono: *gesturing to the doormouse* Oh! And this is my mage's companion, Cyan. Cyan: *waving in a friendly fashion at Bronicus, with a look not unlike this :3* Chuchuchu chuuuu!
