Hey my name is Emmy. I am not really a pegasister but I need your help. Please forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place. If you could direct me to the appropriate place that'd be great :) anyways, a very special friend of mine is visiting his old school/ my school for winter formal. He became a hugggeeee brony recently....like a HUGE ONE! So I thought it would be fun to make him a pony themed bouttoniere. Sticking a plastic pony to a pin would look dumb so I thought maybe trying to put in symbols for the main six? A tiny apple for applejack... Etc... Ya know? I want it to look classy and eligant but original and rainbowy too haha. You guys have some cool ideas I bet! Let me know ASAP ( btw I'm not dating him, I have another bf who's a secret brony....) this guy was the one who converted my bf in the first place! Lol

Hmm, perhaps some ribbons that are the colors of the mane six? Like orange, purple, pink, yellow, white, and blue?

I actually had to google what a bouttoniere was, I always thought they were called corsages. Apparently they are two different things lol.

A bouttoniere is a flower worn in the left hand lapel on a formal jacket. So, you''d pretty much have a flower to work with as your medium.

Unfortunately I can't think of many ideas on how to ponify a flower. You could start with a plastic flower, and use nail polish or acrylic paint (like from a model car kit) to paint each pedal a different color, like for instance you could paint a pedal orange and outline it with a thin line of red on the edge of the pedal for Applejack, white/purple for rarity, so on and so forth, and doing a rainbow on one pedal for Rainbow Dash.

Or, you could paint a small cutie mark on each pedal representing the different ponies.

Of course, these ideas would be most effective on a flower with 6 pedals, which you may be hard pressed to find. If the flower has more pedals, you could add in the colors or cutie marks of background ponies, like Derpy, Vinyl Scratch, Lyra, etc.

Those are the only two things I can really think of, sorry I couldn't be of more help. You could always just get him a cutie mark pin from welovefine.com or perhaps redbubble.com that he could wear next to the bouttoniere. I think people sometimes wear pins next to or in place of the standard bouttoniere. You may have to google that for confirmation.

Streamers? Nothing real frilly though. A girl I took to prom one year gave me this really frilly one, because she liked it and it matched hers. I felt like I had a bush growing on my shirt.
