I'm... well, a relatively new brony. I'll start the story my adventure the day I discovered the series. (Honestly, I'm going to tell the story. If you don't feel like reading the entire thing, I understand. I'll give a gist of it two lines below the story) Just a couple days ago, Saturday to be exact, I plopped down on the couch in my gaming room, not feeling the best, and ready to play some Battlefield 3, only to be greeted by... THE RED RING OF DEATH. Luckily I happened to have bought that Xbox only a couple months ago, so it was under warranty. Still, I had to wait two days for delivery of a new one... So what could I do? THE INTERNET! So I hopped on the internet and started browsing memebase. Yet everywhere I went, there were... ponies. As an online gamer (which generally I still am; just not as hardcore... that's what I plan. ;D), I quickly moved over to a car website I like (another passion of mine; automobiles). And what were they talking about? How excited they were for the new episode of Friendship is Magic. Frustrated, I went over to youtube. And guess what the front page greeted me with? So I had enough. I finally decided to just talk to one of my friends for a little while. And to my surprise, his friend (also my friend, who happens to be a girl. No "girlfriend" about it, she's a casual gamer) was over at his house! As we talked, I revealed my day's events. And he said "Brohoof!" and, well, brohoofed with her. I was nearly at my full rage meter, when the long conversation between two bronies attempt to convince their non-brony friend to watch "just one episode. Pleeeaaaasseee?" (Using those huge Fluttershy eyes). I finally gave in and watched an episode. Then another. And before I knew what I was doing, I had finished season 1. And I'm now a full-on brony. Okay, so for those who don't like short stories, here's the gist of my bronifying day. When I woke up, my Xbox wasn't working. So I went online. But everywhere I went, I only saw ponies, which as early-saturday hardcore gamer me did not approve of. I then got wrapped up in that conversation between a couple bronies and their non-brony friend. So I gave in and watched an episode. And the rest I'm pretty sure you can guess. And now in telling my story, I've already introduced myself fully! So anyone who wants to add any comments, feel free. I'm open to love, like, neutral, and dislike and hate, though the latter two I'm sure I won't get much of from such an AWESOME community! Though as a gamer brony, I'm going to receive much of primarily the latter when get back to Battlefield. Thanks everyone! P.S. my (new) Xbox came in the mail yesterday. It's still in the box.
Aw I wish I had real life brony friends! I'm basically waiting for my Xbox to red ring. It's pretty old and getting really slow. Anyway, welcome to Everypony, enjoy your stay.

hallo there welcome to everypony i'm Yeti, nice to meet you nice story you got there, glad you've gave it a chance, I was in similar situation myself (although, it took lot less to get me to watch episode 1 of season 1 where it all started)
I just finished catching up on all the episodes (that means watching them again now that I have a better grip on who all the characters are), so that means I can plug in the Xbox. Saturdays will be awesomer now.
