Hey everypony! With the release of season 2 coming in, according to pony count down, 18 hours and 50 minutes, I was just wondering whether you where doing anything celebrate the occasion! You doin' anything? Iv'e decided that to celebrate, I'm going to tell some of my mates I'm Brony this Saturday. You doing anything?
Watching Season 2 Premier with my Brony Shirt at 9AM, and leave exactly at 9:30AM to go to my Saturday Class...
Probably by stressing myself out finding a place to watch the first episode. Every website linked to me so far is blocked by Norton...
How am I going to celebrate? By doing something I haven't done in years... Wake up at a sensible time on Saturday. I'll be up at 8:30, get my breakfast and watch it in bed at 9.
I will tattoo a picture of Pinkie Pie's face to my left cheek. And not the one on my face....... Joking! joking! I'll probably do a pony mare-athon and squeal like a fan-girl or something. I'll figure it out. It's a touch bit difficult for a closest brony to celebrate pony things, wouldn't you think?
Well by coincidence, I am filming an interview with a Brony and meeting him for the first time for my course and then going to the Pub with him, after that I will hope the episode has been uploaded to Youtube. Oh and I'll be drinking while watching it a few times and then write a review on it.
Interesting what everyone is doing tomorrow...I better wake up early just so I can get ready then watch the premier and leave for one heck of a three hour class...
Currently: Watching episodes 22-26, then watching all the episodes again tonight. Next: Panic one hour before season 2 and rant about how the thought in the back of my head still won't go away Later: Enjoy the awesomeness that is season 2. Finally: After reading some reactions for a while, go to Six Flags wearing my brony shirt and see if anyone notices.
Actually dump norton like the garbage it is. I know one of the first things people think about with computers is viruses, but norton is actually a terrible antivirus client. All of them are really, but Norton is known for its over strict policies. Really the best way to avoid things like viruses and keep your computer clean is to use an alternative browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and not use internet explorer (the big blue "E" that people call "the internet", you know this one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0f/Internet_Explorer_logo_old.png Or this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Internet_Explorer_7_Logo.png and recently this one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/95/Internet_Explorer_9.png) secondly use things such as adblock add ons, spyware protection, and firewalls. Now of course Norton these days is all in one but actually its better to have these components separate. If this is not your computer do tell the owner of said computer that anti virus clients are useless and they spent $69.99 for a piece of trash. And if it did come with the computer do yourselves a favor: dump it. I dont care how paranoid you are as like I said such apps are a waste of time and most importantly in this bad economy, a waste of money. Trust me I have used computers for over 10 years now and I learned more about computers in that time then most do in a lifetime. Heck I know so much about computers that I built my own and not just use windows on it but Linux. In a world ruled by Mac VS PC I use linux, a operating system that can be used on BOTH Macs and PC's and best of all: Its free If you are not sure on what the heck I am talking about I can explain the bases. An operating system is a set of programs and tools one needs to use a computer, you see an operating system every time you boot your computer and Windows comes to life (I assume you use windows as its the most common OS) When you move your mouse on the screen to click on the icon to go onto the Internet that is only one function that an operating system can do. On the market there are two operating systems that lead the way: Windows and Apple's Mac OSX. Both do the same basic thing and both can do whatever you wish them to do: Go on the net Play some games Use a chatroom look at photos whatever However the world is more then just Mac vs PC. There are other operating systems out there and the one I use is called Linux. Linux like Windows and OSX is an operating system but there is one thing that makes it different. Linux is open source. Now what is open source, well if you use Mozilla Firefox you are already aware of something labeled as open source. Open source means the code for each program and utility covered under it is available to come in and edit, modify and improve. Now you may ask "but doesnt that mean a hacker can get in to my firefox and give me a virus?" The answer is well... Yes but the same is true for something closed source where only a select few know how to modify the program. But in many ways closed source is more vulnerable then open source, hackers like to crack closed source software far more then open source. Its a challenge to them and a way to get some sort of sick joy from someones misery. Now of course linux is not the only open source OS, there are others but Linux is the most suitable one for more everyday people. Now the best bit of Linux as I mentioned before: its free. Now how can it be free you may ask? Well as I mentioned its open source and practically all open source applications and other stuff is free. Linux gets money from donations and dedicated developers. Another good bit about linux: No viruses yes there are no fully working viruses for linux, though there are still security issues and no OS is bulletproof. Now you may wonder: is it possible to try linux without loosing windows? The answer is yes, with tools like virtualbox, WUBI and other tools linux can be installed inside of windows and when you feel it might be cool to use linux more full time most linuxes offer great dual boot options. Now you may wonder: is linux easy? Well I would say for the most part in my experience yes. There are many versions of linux out there and the most recommended one is called Ubuntu. Ubuntu is quite easy to use and install, setting it up can be rough but there is a lot of people and tools out there to make your linux OS up and running within an hour of installation. The best way for new users who might be curious to me is WUBI, WUBI is the Windows-based UBuntu Installer. It installs ubuntu within windows and can be removed using the windows add/remove programs tool. Its a bit easier then virtualbox that can take a little bit getting used to.
Big post, I read it already. At least your helping the people who don't know anything about computers and your also talking about Linux. Awesome. As for me...I just need a new rig, this computer I own is ancient.
I shall celebrate by... same as every weekend to an extent, but with tons of studying... For me, it's not fully out till I watch it. Which will take.. rather quickly, just that I don't have channels. But I still shall watch it, just... not immediatedly, as my dad gets annoyed if I watch on youtube much, *curses rural life*
I think, Im gonna celebrate it........ see it whit my only brony friend in the city XD, when had been relased in the internet of course, do you think that everypony radio could show the episode?
Nothing too special, I don't think. I will be watching episodes 25 and 26 a little later tonight to get myself ready for the next day! I wonder if I'll even be able to sleep tonight?
I'm working today. ;A; luckily it's only for 5 hours, I start work in an hour, and there is 13 hours left. so when I'm done with work I might draw some pony art.
Watching the premiere of S2 when I get back from the gym, then replacing the o2 sensor on my car (HO2S1). After that I prolly won't have anything to do all day, so maybe I'll try my hand at drawing some pony stuff.
Grab some friends, Makes some popcorn, Grab some pop and some snacks and sit on the couch and watch some Awesomeness. :3
