For me it was in a moment when I was depressed and my cousins kids were watching mlp not to mention the newly realized equestria girls one back in 2013 I think and I got hook on since then, for me I like how the characters remind me of my family and friends not to mention cultural reference you get to see their.
After I learned of the existence of Bronies, I decided to watch the show to see why grown ass men were obsessed with something so obviously meant for little girls. Two days and three seasons of MLP later, I joined this site. As for why I like it, that's simple; it makes me smile, and smiling isn't something I do very often.
I got into it after my brother showed me a video from one of the voice actor that does a lot of abridges he watches (Jessi Nowacking)E.G. epic wub time I loved it and decided to watch some other fan works of mlp as I though maybe they where as good. I was watching a ton and loved them so I decided to try the series out I thought it would be a bit childish but when I started watching I loved it as much as the fan work.
I stumbled across a YTP called My Little Brain Tumor which was made from Lesson Zero. After I watched the pony.mov series (before swag.mov came out), I decided to give the show a try. I watched Lesson Zero and Last Roundup and that was all it took.
Found it by accident. Fell in love with it before I even knew it was MLP after stumbling upon the anthology and some other fanmade stuff. Found out about bronies about a week after watching the first season.

Thought bronies were a bunch of weirdos, however when I chatted with them and looked at their art/music/animation/stuff they were pretty cool. "Why are a bunch of neat people watching a girl's show?" So, my brony-friend challenged me to find out for myself. Four days and four seasons later, I found out. I like it because it made me smile at points, made joy to my day and life, and truly did help me learn how to handle life as I was going through a tough year in my time. So here I am.
I kinda got into it by accident really. I was on the HUB, watching a movie and Equestria Girls (the Katy Perry parody) played during an intermission and I thought it was pretty cute. Looked it up on YT, saw a bunch of guys flipping out over it, thought that was weird (I had no idea that "brony" was a thing). Ended up watching an episode that night. Found this site about a week after.
It's cute. The fans make some funny things, occasionally. It's brought me closer to some people I wanted to know better. It has some good colors in it.
It was a few years ago when I still went the same school as my friend, her notebook was covered in silly pony pictures and when I got home I watched a few episodes and got hooked. Later that year me and the person with the pictures became best friends.
I was watching random pony videos, and I decided to watch Griffon The Brush Off. After that, I was hooked. I like the show because of the art style, the sense of charm the animation has, the great writing, the likeable characters, and the dedicated (and unexpected) fans.
I'm gonna admit, when I first found out about MLP:FiM, I was a hater. But then I learned an IRL friend of mine was a brony. I was zapping on the TV and I saw MLP FiM was coming. "Oh, I've never watched an episode. Maybe I'll like it. Let's try!" And now I am part of the MLP fandom`s family <3
I heard about the show somewhere before but didn't watch it for the first time until July 09, 2011, the very first episode I ever saw was Party of One and i've been a Brony ever since even though I didn't know what a Brony was till two to three days later.
Back in autumn 2011 where a toy store sold The Ticket Master, and there was tons of chat reactions on Youtube.
i became a brony about 3 weeks ago after my friend told me that i was sorta like rainbow dash and after that i watched the show and got hooked from there.
