Topic. Even though that's an extremely long title. So, again, post here how you met your best friend/Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Wife/Husband, and if you want, why you were attracted to them. (In the case of Girlfriend and up.) If you guys want me to tell you how I met my wife, let me know. I'll post it.
I can post for myself and Winter Lotus - we met at (ready for it?) a Dungeons and Dragons game. Nerds in love - it's a beautiful thing! Oh, and, of course we want to know Saikyo! Now that you've brought it up, you *have* to tell!
I actually met my boyfriend on Ponychan xD We would talk a lot in the HAY threads there, he's incredibly fun to talk to. He eventually threw his MSN out publically and I nabbed it and added him, ahaha~ we got close after awhile and considered eachother best friends. We greatly enjoyed eachothers company and looked forward to talking to one another when we weren't on together. Over time, I learned that he had issues with his at the time (now ex) girlfriend. She was constantly neglecting him, flirted a lot, had no concern over his feelings, and she was a bit of an angry bipolar person. They had nothing in common. Things got worse between the two and it led to a break up. The night it happened, he was incredibly upset and considered drinking (which he took a vow against doing earlier in life). I was having a bit of a rough time as well, so the entire night we stayed up together, comforting eachother and saying that everything would be okay. The night was magical, it really made us realise how much we cared about and needed eachother. Not long afterwards, we became a couple. I don't regret it and I couldn't possibly be happier~~ I'm very confident in this relationship, despite that we live on the opposite side of the continent. I'm hoping to finish school and move up to Canada with him ASAP. It's going to be wonderful ^-^ we have so much planned for the future and beyond, theres no limit to the things we can do together
Well, funny story, me and my girlfriend actually met when we... ...oh yeah, I don't have a girlfriend Just keep laughing at the ponies Luke, keep laughing at the ponies...
I know this feel. I met my best friend in Elementary school. I've always looked up to certain attributes in him and he has done the same with me. We are currently in a band together and plan on spending the rest of our lives in contact since we assume our band is going to get big.
I met my best friend in class 6 years ago. I remember on the first day he insulted some girl, (I forget why/what exactly he said) so I told him he was mean and decided to ignore him from that point on... and I have no clue whatsoever how that resulted in us hanging out and becoming friends, but it did. Friendship's a weird thing, huh?
I don't really have a static best friend, but I have some really good friends. One of my closest friends and I met on a college visit to the one I now attend. The seniors who we were paired up with pulled us along to a rehearsal for some kind of performance, and we started talking out of boredom. Now we work together and pull many all nighters in the physics labs together. ^^ Usually watching kdrama or anime and honestly, not being very productive. I don't really have a boyfriend right now. But that's okay... it'll happen when it happens.
I know I already posted here, but I suddenly noticed the "Best friend" part of it, and I decided I really wanted to share my "How I met my best friend" story - 'cause that's what this is all about, right? And, yes, of course my wife is one of my best friends, but I have two others in particular. The first is a guy named Richard. I was in the 8th grade, and sometimes hung out with this girl named Dawn. One day, we noticed two new people, just leaning against the wall during break between classes. They stood out a bit - this was a small school - but I didn't think much of them. After a couple of days, they still just stood there, and Dawn told me I should make friends with them because they look lonely. So I went up and talked to them a bit. They seemed kind of weird, and I wasn't sure if I liked them or not, but we just started hanging out together. The other guy was his brother, they had just moved up here. That was in 1978. Although he's gone now, I still think of him as my best friend. Oh, and Dawn quit hanging out with me once I made friends with him, because she didn't like him. *rolls eyes* My other best friend is a woman, who, like me, doesn't like her first name, so I call her CM usually, joking that it stands for Captain Marvel (we both like comic books). I saw her on my first day at college, working the cafeteria, and somehow, I just took one look at her, and thought, she's going to be my friend. I didn't get to talk to her much for the first couple of months, but then at the start of the next semester (January, 1983), I got a job at the cafeteria, and we talked, and hung out together, and I still talk to her by e-mail, facebook, letters or rare visits, even though we're miles apart. So men and women can be friends, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
