I have never-ever-ever roleplayed before, and I'm quite interested in what its all about! How do you do it? and, whats the goal? :derpe:
Well, the goal of the whole is whatever the roleplay is set about. The goal of the single is to advance said roleplay while sticking to their character's quirks and abilities. I see roleplaying as writing a book with multiple people. Everyone controls their characters and narrates (but sometimes there's a set game master to narrate instead) and works together to perform a certain task, or perhaps perform tasks against each other. The more books you've read, the more you'll see it. Remember that your character(s) are unique, as well! A well rounded and fleshed out character will have definite strengths, weaknesses, and personality. If you have all three of these down on a character, simply act as they would and it'll come naturally. A large thing about roleplaying is that you are acting as another character, not yourself, and therefore should try your best to act as they would.
Ooh! A new RPer! This is so cool! OK, well, to me, I love RPing, because these OC's are like different parts of you. For example, my OC Eluuna represents the shy part of me, while another one, Sun, represents the crazy, hyper side of me. So, in short, when RPing, the first thing to do is make your oc. You can get started here:http://generalzoi.deviantart.com/art/Pony-Creator-Full-Version-254295904 After you do that, the important thing to remember is to stay in character. It really ruins the RP if your Fluttershy-like character suddenly goes... "OMG! A PARTY!!!111!!ONE!!!" Which brings me to my next point. In RPing, if you have bad grammar, I will eat you, and then feed you to Sparky The Pony. (Which, by the way, is my threat in school.) It completely ruins the mood. Anyway, onto the actual RPing! This basically covers it. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, OK?
