My name is Carol and I am known elsewhere as Jedimom, but on here and other Pony sites, I am JediPony. I am an "ancient" pony (but younger than Granny Smith) amd a fan of MLP:FIM since the summer after the first season aired. My son introduced it to me. At first I was skeptical (after having lived through G1-3.5), and it did take me two episodes to really get into it. It quickly grew to an obsession. I REALLY jumped onto the bandwagon with the Derpy controversy. If ANYONE should be offended by Derpy, it would be me. I have had eye problems all my life (I have a glass eye) and have been teased MERCILESSLY as a child because of it. A lot of harm was brought upon me by my eyes. However, Derpy is a beautiful, fun and caring pony and funny pony. If anything she has brought the pony community togtehr with love and the love of her character. I hear no one complaining about her but a very few. And some people just get upset over anything. Political correctness sometimes is not a good thing. Someone is ALWAYS going to be upset over something, no matter how it is played out. Whatever happened to majority rules? I also have a son who has Asperger's Syndrome. He loves Derpy as much as I do. Derpy is not an offensive name in the least. Anyways, I digress... I have made a Fluttershy costume in the past and am currently working on a Derpy for myself and a New Lunar Republic soldier for my son. We will be at C2E2 in Chicago, and hopefully TrotCon in Columbus, OH, as well as New York Comic Con. - - Auto Merge - - Oh!
