Wow, Rarity started off as my least favourite pony with her girlishness and obsessiveness over small things. But then Suited for Success happened and I realised I related to her creatively. Then today after watching episode 3, I realise holy s#$% I have so much in common with Rarity. I have a problem with obsessively wanting to know what other people think of my creations. TELL ME! TELL ME! TELL ME! TELL ME!. I would say and people not giving me any feedback seems as good as saying it's crap. If you would have told me when I first became a brony that I would have so much in common with Rarity I would have punched you in the face. But now, I can't believe how similar I am to her. She started off as my least favourite pony, but now.... she may even be overtaking Fluttershy, oh no. I think I relate most to Rarity. Wow I can think of my past self looking at this post and being disgusted. I never thought A character could grow on me this much, from such a bad first impression. I..... AM...... RARITY! Been there myself bro. I can relate to her on the artistic side, but that's mostly being frustrated by certain elements. Maybe different elements as to what was seen in Art of the Dress, but either way I've grown to be attached to her. She's the one who made me ditch this 'I have no favourite pony' stance.
I love everypony so much. It's just nopony but Rarity made me take a look at the parts of my personality that I was in denial about. I am an annoying Drama Queen. I am very shy and anti-social too. So obviously I connected with FS and TS immediately. But Rarity, I did not expect to relate to her. I may not care about my offline image much. But My online image and reputation, I am just as obsessive as she is.
The problem with rarity is that compared to chaotic neutral me, Rarity's lack of chaos or other amiable traits is a problem. So she gets the honorable tie for last place with AJ.
Funny, Applejack is actually my 2nd placed pony, begind Rarity. As a lawful good though, I guess we would have opposing favourites.
Incidentally, when I was writing the post, I was going to mention that Rarity and AJ are lawful good, or at least lawful neutral.
I am very chaotic, in real life and in my own living space. But I relate to Rarity's obsession about what others think about how much they like her. I am quite insecure if I don't feel like I have made a 'Absolutely Wonderful' impression. Also I have said in the past I am a girly guy. Well even more so since ponies. I cry at sappy scenes in movies etc. etc. Hope that doesn't make the brony community look bad. Oh there it goes again, my self image obsession.
Making a good impression is important, but finding and distancing from people who can't take you for who you are is even more important, so I just myself all of times. If you can figure out how that last but was correct in grammar, you deserve a medal.

I honestly don't like Rarity as much as I thought i did she was probably my 3rd favorite then came "Sonic Rainboom" then she dropped to the bottom but i still do love everypony, Fluttershy... Forever!!!

Rarity is one character I like better now than in the beginning of the series, suited for succes and a dog and a pony show convinced me that she's a great character. What a drama queen, relatively speaking. I don't know if I can say I have a particular order in favorite characters, I like all the mane 6. But for some reason Rainbow Dash comes out on top, though I do tend to like girls like her, that is not new for me. Except for the sonic rainboom, the defining moment of Dash are in the art of the dress song. Not only do she have awesome lines, the silent communication between her and Rarity define the personallity of both characters.

I have your Avast Fluttershy's Ass and Rainbow Dash Tylenol mixes on my iPod. Thank you. This is how I feel about Luna. I never would have guessed that I would connect to her so strongly, but she is my favorite pony, mostly because of how much we have in common... Though I've never been to the moon.
I've not seen EP3 yet but that Fluttershy thing with the bear was awesome. Someone need to do a Mortal Kombat voice over
