    ...so please accept my apology if I`m mistaken, will you? ;-)
    So, anyways.
    What I wanted to say is the following:

    As some (if not all :derpe:) of us are, I`m so bad at math, I can`t even tell. I already tried private lessons, alternative learning methods and stuff like that, nothing worked (besides, private lessons are damn expensive...).
    Well, all I wanted to ask is if someone or maybe more than one person would be ok with helping me out a little. You know, I`m also kinda frustrated because I`m not a stupid person, but this math stuff really tries to kill me. I swear it does!
    Would be really great if you could help me for a bit.
    Oh, maybe I should name some examples of the topics I fail at. So, here we go...
    (translated with help of google, you are warned)
    Extreme Value Problems
    differential calculus
    derivation functions
    Quite Rational Functions
    curve Sketching
    integral calculus
    ...
    (there will be more as the year goes on, I`m sure of that... -.-)

    So, yeah. That`s it I guess. Maybe you can help me, maybe not. Or maybe we could all help each other. In return, I could offer alomst whatever you wish, you just need to ask. Giving and receiving, right :)
    Hope there will be answers to this thread. I`m really losing confidence in getting my degree (by which I mean something like the following: Technical high school mature with certified marketing assistant training specialist field foreign languages. Translated by Valkyyria, thank you! But, um, we both are not sure if this is the right translation, so,...yeah.)
    Enough complaining for now! Gonna watch Ponies now, thanks for reading :grin:

    Greetings

    Have you tried private lessons with someone from university? They are mostly good and cheap. I had private lessons for like 10€/hour with a physics student.

    Once I get on my computer, I shall use my powers of LaTeX to explain integrals to you.

    I could try and help you, although I'm currently studying A-level maths, not university maths. So I'd only know the basic stuff.

    @Valkyyria
    Sadly, I don`t know anyone from any university nearby who could help me out. I thought of it, yes. And thank you for your advise :)

    @testyal1
    That would be great! Just tell me when you are ready to start!

    @B-Dog1996
    I`m not even going to university, maybe that`s why I keep failing in this subject. And besides, I`m thankful for any help I can get (which includes the basics aswell...)!

    @Hatta
    Uhm, that`s not really helpful. But I know this formula! At least something... -.-

    @Yetione
    Will do in a few minutes! Thanks!

    Thank you all for aour answers! Cookies and */)* for all of you :)

    I must have misunderstood you. When you said that you were losing confidence about getting your degree, I assumed that you were in university.

    if you have any questions in particular about stuff you don't understand, Either me (or probably someone more qualified than me) could try and answer it.

    Yeah, we have a pretty strange educational system here :derpe:
    By degree I meant the paper I get after final exams. The school is I`m attending is more specialized than normal middle-school, but no university.
    I will probably post the first questions tomorrow when I got through the whole thing again. And it won`t just be a few questions, that`s for sure ::S:

    Its like the A-levels in england, if you pass this school you have the permission to go to the university. Its called Abitur. ^.^

    Fair enough. If it's similar to A-levels, then we'll probably be learning similar stuff. I've already started things like differentiation and sketching curves, so I could give you a hand with that stuff (hopefully).

    Nah, not the Abitur. Fachhochschulreife, that`s it :) (!Beware, not-english-language ahead! Öhm, Valkyyria, ich hab mal gewusst was meine Schulform auf Englisch bedeutet... Vielleiiicht kannst du mir hier auch aushelfen^^ Wäre folgendes: Staatlich geprüfter Kaufmännischer Assistent in Fachrichtung Fremdsprachen mit Fachhochschulreife. Danke aber für`s Erklären des Abi`s, das hilft schonmal, denke ich :) )

    B-Dog, that sounds very good! Because my whole class doesn`t understand a thing, we haven`t made it much farther than the start of this subjects, so we really could be on the same level xD
    Can`t wait to finally understand what my teacher is talking about!

    Oh my that is really hard to translate... only thing i found was Fachhochschulreife = advanced technical college entrance qualification but that doesnt sound right...

    Well germany has a tough school system ^^

    Edit: Technical high school mature with certified marketing assistant training specialist field foreign languages?

    Just a sloppy translation :D

    Well, sounds complicated enough to make a well-educated impression or something xD
    Thank you! I would just add it to the start post, if you`re ok with that (since you translated it and all. Maybe it`s a new word-combination no-one else discovered before, what would mean that you own the rights to use it etc.^^)

    Don't know if I'm late or not, but I would be glad to try to help ya! I don't know if our math courses are that similar, but it never hurts to at least try! I'm in calculus, if that means anything!

    @RollTheDice
    A mathematician is never too late, nor is he too early. He arrives whenever there is a problem to solve.
    What I want to say: Your help is very much appreciated!

    @Valkyyria
    Fine, I`ll paste in the post than. Thanks :)

    So, and here goes our first problem! If you all don`t mind, I`d like to start with the current topic we have in school, just to show the teacher I`m improving (or at least trying to...^^).
    Ok, let`s see.
    Day 1, Topic 1: Extreme Value Problems
    There is this one task my teacher tried to explain the topic with. In the book it says as follows (in german, I`m trying my best to translate it):

    A number of 10,000 kg is sold at a price of 10 € per kg. According to a market analysis they could sell another 1,000 kg when the price p/kg was reduced by 0,25 €.
    In which selling price is the maximum profit when the cost price is 7 € p/kg? How high is the profit?

    I`m serious, I don`t have the slightes clue on what exactly to do here. I would probably work with a simple three set, but that`s not what is asked for. Besides, the result also wouldn`t be right I guess.

    Don`t hesitate to point out any questions! It is possible that I made a mistake with the translation, or forgot a word or something else.

    Hope this turns out well!

    Greetings

    edit: Oh, yeah. I don`t want any ready calculated results, I want to understand this :)

    I think I know the answer; however, the question is a bit confusing with the way it is worded, so I will try to create an equation and send it to you in a pm!
