Yes, I realize that not too many are likely to read this, but something I saw in the Last to Post thread recently has been getting my mind stirring.

I've been struggling off and on throughout my life with anger issues. It's never been something I've particularly liked being. On one occasion when I was in 8th grade, for example, I got mad enough at someone who was teasing and mocking me in class that I outright socked him in the arm (I think it was the arm, anyway; been about 21-22 years, so my memory's a bit hazy). I felt bad enough about it afterwards that I apologized to him, and while he still needled me now and again we never had problems that serious anymore.

Rage is not alien to me, and unlike some people who are okay with being angry if it means accomplishing something, I'm not. I'm very susceptible to it, especially as the years go by and the morals and standards of the world continue to decline. It's why I make it a point not to get involved in overly serious discussions, such as all the political nonsense surrounding the last U.S. Presidential election or the needlessly complicated quagmire of sexual relations and self-identification. The last time I dipped a toe in those particular pools, I ended up getting scalded for it (and no, I don't want to talk about what happened).

(Also, I have to confess: LostSanity's antics weren't the only things that drove me to leave EP for a time back in 2017, as JewelOfRarity's infatuation with posteriors was making me sick. I couldn't think of a tactful way to ask her to dial it down on the forums [tact is not my strong suit], and I didn't find it likely that she'd listen to me even if I could, so I forced myself to skip town until I could get myself calmed down.)

The point I'm trying to make is this: I don't like being angry or sad. I don't like dwelling on negative emotions, I hate the sickening feelings they always bring me, and I hate even more being the direct cause of them (read: 'why I don't go to Twitch anymore'). They're half the reason why I'm heavily into role-playing: why should I be typing out profanity-laden replies to people about wars in foreign countries when I could be launching one-person assaults on mega-malls as Callista O. Wilson-Metallium, the Shopping Queen? Why should I be complaining sarcastically about other people's offline lives when I could be scaring the living daylights out of trans-species, planet-destroying, draconic maids as Ambush Cat?

And why should I be upset about content in equine-based cartoons that #1: is controversial, #2: causes people to get worked up, sometimes for no particular reason, and #3: doesn't matter in the long run anyway?

At any rate, now you know why I spend so much time in Last to Post, making amusing comments and occasionally channeling my RPing characters, instead of spending time elsewhere on Everypony. >^_^< Just had to let it out. That's a trifle, if ever was.

That's all I have to say. Ciao mein, everyone. ;)
