It's a sad state of affairs when cats are more dear to you than most humans, but all the same I can't help it. Callista Lynn Tiger's the oldest cat in our house at only 10 years, and already she's dying. The best I could understand from what my parents told me is that she has feline leukemia, and at 5 pounds and a low blood count, our vet believes she's not likely to last too much longer, even less so if she undergoes any sort of serious trauma from here on out. Instead of having her euthanized, Mom and Dad have decided to put her in isolation in a room downstairs and let her live her remaining time peacefully and comfortably away from the rest of the cats in the house. ...I'm sorry. I can't talk about this anymore. All I'll say is that my break may last a little longer than intended, due to both this and other reasons. If any of you out there have a cat, get up right now and pet it. They deserve every bit of it. Ciao mein, everyone. See you when I get back, whenever that may be.
Give that kitty all the extra love and treats you can. Make sure to take care of her and yourself. *hugs*
thanks, db, though I may as well confirm it now. mom's just informed me that she's passed. ... ... okay, now i'm going. i mean it this time ((EDIT on 7/22/2019: I accidentally had her middle name switched with that of her kitten's. It's Byrd, not Lynn. That was embarrassing.))
