I decided to start this thread, because there is one just like this on another forums site I go to. If you don't believe this is right to post here, I can delete this if needed. (Or a moderator/administrator can.) As of 12:00:00 AM [EST], it is now September 11, 2011. What marks this day, I'm sure we all know, is that it's the 10th Anniversary of the attacks back in 2001. On Friday, my county's school system, along with several other school systems throughout my state, held a special event during the school day. This event was started in order to help us remember the ones who sacrificed themselves after the attacks back in 9/11/01. Throughout the day, we were given a nametag to wear, and on that nametag was a person who died during the onslaught. We had to wear this tag throughout the entire day, and once we were dismissed; we'd take off the nametags, and post them on the wall by our cafeteria. If you remember someone who died, sacrificed, or helped out during the terroristic attacks, simply post their name like so: Code: I will remember... * Name *. [ Feel free to add in some background information, if you want to. ] I'll start. I will remember... Andrew Clive Gilbert.
I will Remember my Uncle, Clive Wilson. (Whoa, same name as the other guys middle name... Ugh, this sucks.) He was on floor 94 of the North Tower... there was no chance of escape. ...I think he jumped. Clive was tough; there was no way he would let a fire take him out. RIP Clive... You'll always be my favorite Uncle...
Still 11:20 here. I haven't lost any emotional ties during the event, so I can't be very empathetic, and I'm not good at sympathy unless it's about a specific person. :c
