A patch has been added to address this issue. The below information should no longer need to be used. Had a few people ask questions about IE 10 and posting. If your post editor does not function correctly (enter key does not work, BBcode functions erratically, etc), you need to disable the WYSIWYG Editor in your settings. 1. Go to General Settings 2. Toward the bottom of the settings page, disable Enhanced Interface (Standard is recommended) 3. Save The Standard postbox is relatively the same. The major difference is that BBcode will show up as tags instead of formatting in real-time as you type. Any posting issues should be resolved.
The latest version of Vbulletin contains a work around for this, though any modifications to the headinclude template and/or use of tapatalk can cause issues, I've included references below. All it does is force IE10 to render in IE9 mode, using the content attribute of the meta tag, but it solves the problem and doesn't cause any additional issues, whilst letting IE users still enjoy the WYSIWIG editor. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...d-carriage-return-in-editor-4-2-1#post3964131 http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...-common-issues-latest-release-4-2-1?p=3963696
Good information [MENTION=1]Grey Knightmare[/MENTION] -- I was aware of 4.2.1, but we can't access the license to get those patches. I'll give the meta tags and Tapatalk fixes a go though. Edit: Newest version of tapatalk already places script below HTTP header (as described in the fix). Meta tag working on my end.
[MENTION=1543]mike406[/MENTION] Who's got the license? It's not a brilliant idea to be running a forum software package like Vbulletin without access to updates (namely security ones). I'd strongly suggest someone either gets [MENTION=2118]Ghan_04[/MENTION] to update it for you, or get hold of a (or "the") licence.
It's still TWIF's afaik. I could never properly get a hold of him. With the ad revenue, I'm sure our own license will be relatively affordable (in the event we can't secure the current one from him). I'll talk to Tyro.
