Oh, I saw this and thought of posting a thread... but I already moaned about that ghastly woman this week. I'm shocked by the content of that post. (9?) bullets through in the laptop serves her right. Paid for chores? PAH.
She has less chores than I do. All of my hardware is hand-me-downs and gifts. Ipod, PC, I don't even have a laptop. I feel bad just asking for a decent pair of headphones and this girl has the gall to trash talk her parents AFTER her father fixes and upgrades her laptop? I can only imagine the tears. I checked out the guy's facebook page. It seems to have blown up with support and comments, but he didn't make the video looking for friends. He did it to set an example. I like how 3k+ people tried to friend him, though.

Pay her for chores, yeah you can. Even if it like a dollar a day. Better then nothing, but it's his daughter and his choice. The whole pay him back for the bullets and laptop software. He is crazy, he didn't have to shoot it,that was his choice. The software can still be used. There is no need for her to pay him. I'm not defending either of them, I think the whole thing is dumb. Well, she's too old for getting a spanking. I think it's quite justified. I had my network cable cut once when I was 14 just for telling my dad to f*** off. As someone in the facebook comments pointed out, she's lucky she's not in any hardcore Asian family as they typically just beat them until satisfied... and they take parental disrespect much harder than most. I don't think the dad needs the laptop and was just trying to make a point. Considering she just got $130 worth of stuff, asking for an allowance (or a pay in her words) is pretty ungrateful.

I'm saying everyone was a wit little rebel at somepoint. I blame the dad for giving her all the stuff in the first place. She might have been different if he didn't spoil her. Paying her for her chores wouldn't be so bad. A dollar day is only 7 bucks a week. It would show her the working does have a reward. Oh my god, that was brilliant. Father of the year right there. Seriously though, I think that was totally justified. If nothing else, he made his point. And as for her becoming globally recognised, well. That wasn't exactly his fault, was it? I'm sure he had no idea how huge it would get when he posted it. As I've said before, the internet is a cruel mistress. But hey, I doubt she'll get much abuse, ridicule is more likely.
i agree with you pixel,there was no need to shoot it ,he said himslef he spent an extra 150 bucks on the new software,why not,idk,USE IT FOR YOURSELF OR SELL IT! shooting it like that just makes it a waste of even more money
