Basic idea: hundreds of years after the Bearers of Harmony lived, Equestria has advanced to the point of inter-stellar travel, only to find they aren't alone in this arm of the galaxy. They find out quickly about three different civilizations that are in various stages of development, but all of them are space-faring, and each one of them a strange bipedal primate-like figure. There's the Terrans, who are at a similar stage of technology as the Equestrians, the Brotherhood of Brotheria, who are the most advanced of the three, and fresh off a devastating, inter-stellar war with the third one, the ones of Earth, who managed to defeat the Brotherhood, just barely, at the key invasion of Reach just 20 earth years ago. Attempting to put itself on the map, Equestria began colonizing the closest 'green' planet to it, just 6 light years away, only to find out that one of the Terran nations had the same idea. Though at first, peace managed to be kept as the two sides kept to the opposite sides of the two giant continents connected by just a thin isthmus. But as time went on, both sides began eyeing the other's side for complete control of the planet, as it become more and more clear that control of the planet, called Ciilonii by the Terrans there, was the key to controlling the entire system, and by extension, determine just how both sides would live and grow in space. War looms just on the horizon, the settlers of both sides are becoming more and more violent to each other, it is not a matter of if, even as the two sides discuss the future of the planet, but when war will break out. The fire is ready to burn, all it needs is a spark... You will be able to choose if you are a soldier, farmer, colonial city denizen, etc, even choose to fight for the Terrans or the Equestrians.
