But, I was wondering if it was possible that you guys could make another board for fan fictions that are not MLP: FiM related. Whenever I try to post them in my blogs, they end up being too long and I don't want to cut any of them out.. I hope you take this suggestion into thought.
This is something I have really wanted for a long time. Rather than clog the Literature section with fan fictions (which are not wholly the original material of the author anyway), we should have a separate section for non-MLP related fanfictions. This could at least be a subsection of the Fan Fiction section or be allowed in the current sections. It only makes sense that if we allow non-MLP Art in some way, non-MLP Fan Fictions should also be allowed.

In the interest of maintaining organization here at Everypony and diversifying the content on this site, I would like an answer to this question.
This sounds like a sound idea to me. I generally don't see much downsides to the implementation of a new fanfic section anyway.
The idea isn't a bad one, but limitations might make this not very practical. The fictions section you see runs on a plugin, and sub-forums are used as "genres". Unfortunately, only one main forum can be used as a fictions section. So the ways this could work, is to A) Double each of the current genres (one for MLP, one for non-mlp). Or B) Cram all non-MLP fics into one spot, which isn't very practical. Option A would provide the most in terms of organizing, so I will try setting that up and see how it looks.
You could just drop the MLP FiM of the fan fiction blurb, It's a pony site everyone knows there is going to be ponies. Or just ask users to put [NP] "Not Pony" at the start of their thread title if it isn't pony related.
Well sure, but then there isn't really a great way to sort them. But then again, maybe that's not such a big deal.
I liked the first option that you mentioned, but if that isn't possible/practical then what Berry said would be my second favorite.
I think this is a good idea. I mean we should simply be a community of nice people with a TV show in common. But show that their is more then just MLP that fuels our creativity that we will want to show off. I actually have some fanfics of my own from before the MLP fandom. But of course since they aren't as huge as MLP they have hardly ever gotten any feedback.
