Different types of apples of color, flavor, also different foods you can make out of them. Almost limitless of combinations one could imagine, However it would also depend on how many "Ponies" a mare could have in a span of one life, and how big the family tree is.
Apple family has members in every town in Equestria, no wonder people joke about them being a mob-family XD. But yeah pretty dang big, honestly at this point it seems like the various Apple family clans are pretty much the backbone of Equestrian agriculture, with out them, the other ponies would no doubt starve to death, and the economy would defiantly plummet, yes the Apples, secretly running Equestria since its foundation XD.
As much as I like Babs Seed and trust me when I say I love her alot but I think it's funny that the initials for her name are BS.
