Ever since a strange mist had come from the west, The king has been acting strangely. becoming more paranoid, more observant and overall a lot weaker. "Majesty, As requested I have sent out for the finest warriors and the most loyal knights to relieve you of your duties of fighting and protection of the empire. until you become stronger of course. The mission room has been done up and the royal mage has the elements ready. they should arrive any minute". King millennium: "good, I sense a strong evil awakening that even my powers of time cannot defeat. Now I trust you know what your doing seeing as you are my Nephew and I know you had a duty to protect the people of Trottingham but this is important and I need you to lead these fine warriors".
Loresto had just earned his pay from his previous job, 'Stupid Timber-wolves, thought they could take me, what fools.' he thought to himself. Suddenly a letter fell from the wind and landed at his hoofs, "Whats this?" he spoke as he picked it up and tore it open. Loresto's grin widened as he read what the letter contained. "The king needs a personal group to help defend the kingdom does he? Man the reward for this must be.....I can't even imagine!" Loresto dashed off toward the castle, moving as quick as his legs could, the thrill of adventure and pay driving him toward the king's request.
"Sir, seems like we got ourselves the first of your royal protectors may I present Loresto". robin then turns to Loresto. "Okay as soon as the others arrive we shall head to the royal mage for you to become one with your element. in your case will be wind. Until then feel free to explore the castle and Hope city the capital of this fine empire. any questions just ask".
"Might as well, I got nothing better to do." Loresto spoke as he turned toward the door. "Anywhere i can get a drink?" Loresto asked Robin over his shoulder as he walked.
"There are many bars and pubs here. theres the silver sails down by the docks for those who like the hard stuff, the Royal wine cellar in this very castle if you want the finest wine and champagne or the bloodied griffin, a lot of organised boxing and wrestling goes down in their basement other than that its your average pub with poker, tales of veteran soldiers, bards and working girls".
"Brawls you say?" Loresto's ears perked up on this news. "I have to go check this out. Whers this bar at exactly?" Loresto asked.
"The bars next to the main gate just look for a traditional wooden and thatched building that looks out of place. it is the 2nd oldest surviving building in this city".
Arrows walked into the throne room and put down his hood. "You called?" He asked looking around. He had never been this close to royalty before.
"The Scarlet Knights were a joke. The only reason I joined them was for the pay, I didn't yet have a vocation that payed well."
"Well, I guess you joined the right place. The pay as a royal protector is quite high about 25k bits".
"Wow, nice! Anywho, I'm going to hit the armory. This bow ain't going to polish itself. If you need me, I'll be at a weapons table."
Loresto left the fighting ring after his 3rd consectutive win. "Whew, nearly doubled my pay. HEY WHO WANTS A DRINK? ON ME OF COURSE!" He called out for all the bar to hear. Everyone cheered as Loresto slammed down some money for the bartender. "This will do my fine sir, DRINKS FOR EVERYONE!" The bar erupted in cheers and laughter as drinks were chugged and smiles were shared. This is what Loresto lived for, freedom, fun, and money. Thats all that matter to him now.....on the outside.
"Ah, it seems our band of protectors is almost complete.just one more to go though. I believe your name is sparrow. You were the only one to be highly praised by the king. Seeing as your more magic than steel. He likes that sort of thing". He smiled welcoming her into the castle.
Frozen nodded, a smile already appearing. "I'm not sure whether the king recommends me so because I am worthwhile, or simply because of my talent." she said, eyes laughing.
"I am honestlty not sure why exactly but anyway enjoy your stay here while I wait for the last pony to arrive. explore hope city any specific details about where to go or what to do just ask".
