If you're talking about the film, no I haven't. Whenever I deal with RvB, I tend to stick to reaction videos. And honestly, Pokemon Violet's been more on my mind as of late.
I don't know if Restoration is a movie or a short season. I mean I saw it in one sitting like a movie, but that doesn't mean it was originally released that way.
I remember watching RvB when it first came out. I think it was only one season then or hadn't been put into seasons yet. I recall it started getting more weird and less funny and I just stopped watching. Never went back, I hope it got better.
Restoration wasn't meant to be a movie. From what I understand, it was just condensed into one as a result of RT's shuttering.
Really suck's they're gone. Why the hell did they sell the company? Didn't they do better on their own?
Did a little reading and apparently the official reason was "fundamental shifts in consumer behavior and monetization across platforms, advertising, and patronage." So it sounds like people quit caring and the money quit rolling in. Not sure how long they were a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery but it was ultimately that parent company that shut them down.
I used to dream of bringing my characters to life through something like animation, comic strips, or video games or what have you. Eventually I realized just how much work that was and gave up on it. ()^_^ Portraying them through written fiction is much easier and doesn't demand anything of me I don't already have. And ultimately, why bother with the sort of route RT ended up taking if something like this is going to be its ultimate fate?
Hence why I like to have full control over my work. I've gotten next to nothing for it, but I've been able to make people's lives at least a little less tiresome (and a little more surreal). That matters more to me than money any day.
Dropping in a half-hour shy of the 96-hour mark. This was in my M.L.G. artwork thread, but just for the sake of having it here: This comes compliments of Berry-Bliss-Sundae at the MLP Forums. Calico Driftwood and Five-of-a-Kind (the ponified versions of my characters Callista and Ellen, respectively). Fiver's teaching Calico how to play FreeCell.
Back when all computers came with games, I played a lot of solitaire. Never learned how to play freecell or minesweeper though.
Wasn't intentional. I thought I was past the deadline, so I was getting ready to tell Dragonbait to lock it. Then I took another look at the rules for the thread and hastily edited what I was typing. On the topic of FreeCell, it took a few years after I started using Windows before I began playing it. It wasn't available to me until... I want to say 1996, I forget.
I lengthen the time, just cause of how slow things have been here lately. I figured three days and the topic would be over on page one. I don't think I started playing free cell till later that that. The comps I used mostly had just regular solitaire.
I first started using Windows in 1994, but Solitaire was the only one I had available at the time. Eventually we picked up FreeCell, plus a handle of other card games via shareware. There was this one card game I really liked as a kid called "Affairs of the Court", by CR Software Solutions. I still have the shareware edition, but unfortunately the full version (with extra difficulty levels) is nowhere to be found on the Internet.
