[size=+1]Life's Lemons[/size] A lone and powerful sorcerer sits upon a mountain top, with little but his studies into magic and his telescope to occupy his twilight years. He spends his time exploring magic as a whole, attempting to understand where it comes from and the limits of it's abilities. He attempts to explore the ravines of the mana and plot the rapids within the seemingly endless supply of journals he keeps. His lair is nothing but a library. A place from where he can observe the world through the glass, watching the activity below with all the detail of observing an ant farm. The story here gets choppy as retelling of the same tale tends to do. Some say that he lived long enough so observe an entire generation of ponies in the village below pass on, baffled by how their presence was swept away by all but their families and closest friends. Others tell of attacks on the village from a large range of hostile creatures, even snails if your not looking to take things seriously. Where the tales begin to over lap again was when the Sorcerer refused to believe that they could leave such a temporary and fragile mark on this world. Those that remember that pony would surely vanish as well, with time. It seemed cruel that there wasn't something else that recorded such an existence as a life. So, The Sorcerer searches through his notes and experiments with the intention of finding anyway way that life might be recorded by nature and magic. He found nothing. He was disheartened and now beginning to feel his own strength ebb away. If there was no mechanism for recording such a thing as a life, then he would create it. The Sorcerer puts his remaining years into the research and completion of a titanic library. The mountain top currently has been removed, placed instead in the only place where the telescope could see everything: outside of reality and time. The complicated, ocular device feeds its data into books that are constantly writing themselves as they sit on the shelves, scratching away to engrave another lifetime within the pages. Strange, clockwork librarians roam the still active halls to fetch and carry books to where they are intended to be. The Library of Life hasn't ended it's ceaseless recording for generations. If you live in Equestria, you have every action, thought, dream, desire and spoken word recorded in third-person narrative. Now, what could you possibly do with such information? Apparently, you appoint yourself judge and jury of the entirety of life. Having this information just sitting around, you would also ready it, wouldn't you? Surely, you would! All that documented prose that links exactly to the real life thoughts, hopes, dreams and knowledge and actions of every single pony down on the land, and you'd just sit on that information? Exacty! Sooner or later, you'd start reading these biographies, unedited and complete in every detail. The Sorcerer flicks through these books, becoming more and more engrossed with these lives. He is uplifted with these lives: children born, charitable works, spreading happiness. Then there's those that, in his opinion, waste their lives. A rich pony loafing around, a criminal sneaking out of bedrooms clutching jewels, an old miser shouting at a mother for getting in his way. That infuriated the Sorcerer. Cut off from the world, he couldn't intervene. He had no power. He had no way of helping these ponies. Lastly, there were those that had been dealt a bad hand by life. The poor, the homeless. The bullied, the sick and the lame. People that have struggled on despite their handicap. Their plight touches him deeply but he also was cut off from any means of aid. He couldn't help them either, except to make sure they were never lost to time. This drove him nuts to think that he knew of all this injustice and misery in the world, but couldn't do anything about it. He couldn't alter these fates or interfere with these events. All he could do was document and watch these lives fizzle out. And he did. For all of twelve days of coming to the conclusion that this little venture into preservation had started to take it's toll on him, mentally. He stared work on a new machine and a new direction for his machines. He would judge the whole of life using these self-writing volumes, judging those that he deemed worthy of a new machine. The machine had two huge cylinders of hundreds of tiny writing heads on small mechanical arms all hung out the bottom like a metal squid. These two devices hang from the machine over two pedestals like sleeves. The bulk of the machine has a large grill, like a gaping mouth that holds a hellish glow that spills out onto the floor. Large gears mesh and whir behind the brushed bronze panels.It stands towards the ceiling, with a seat for the Judge to address the accused. The machine replaces the life of one individual with that of another by rewriting the books of each of the accused. The Sorcerer looked to replacing the lives of those he deemed unworthy of their lives with those whom he felt had been given an unfair life. He managed two of these swaps before he passed away in his sleep. The library carried on, recording and adding to its volumes. Name: Rifter Age: 32 Race: Griffin Appearance: A grey griffin with a deep scar by his right eye. Personality: A nice guy... When he's not drunk. He is a massive fan of alchohol, and sometimes, a fan of leaping into something headfirst. He'd rather have alchohol than fight, and he'd rather talk than fight. Even though he is a poor talker. Powers, special skills and Abilities: Can fly, is very good at seeing things thanks to his eagle vision, good at using his talons, can take a beating. Biography: Rifter is a soldier of the Griffin Kingdoms. He is an Orphan who always took his job seriously, even when drunk. He has been offered promotions several times, but instead of taking them, kept his place as a standard guard, stating any higher and he would not be allowed alchohol. He always had a soft spot for those who had it worse off, trying to help them whenever he can. However, he can be seen as brutal by those who dont know him. If he sets his mind on something, he will do almost anything to finish it. Once, he was told by a squad captain to retrieve a stolen item from the griffin kingdom. Name: Steel Law Age:32 Race: Unicorn Appearance: Spoiler: picture his cutie Mark are golden scales showing his immense knowledge of equestrian, griffin and dragon law. Personality: kind yet always focused on his work, he always tries to support whoever he hads to defend as a lawyer. He also is passionate about democracy and wishes for a parliament rather than a monarchy. Powers, Special Skills and Abilities: He is just an average unicorn but very persuasive and revouloutionary. Biography: steel was raised in the mild west, in a city known as Dust lane. His father called DustyKatt was the town sheriff so he was raised to abide by the law and never get in trouble. His mother was a "working girl" at the local saloon so she was always out pleasing the patrons who offered money for her "services". Steel had a closer connection with his mum rather than his dad. By the age of 19 he hanged by his mums saloon hiring the services of a few "working girls" who were being trained by his mum who was now a mistress. Steel alWays had a fascination with the law so at 23 he left Dust Lane and travelled to canter lot where he enrolled in law university. During the 5 years studying he still kept his habits from dusty lane becoming a regular patron at many clubs in the red light district. When he graduated at the age of 28 he was top of the class no other pony could even come close to his knowlage on equestrian, griffin and surprisingly dragon law. Due to this he was quickly snapped up by a lawyer firm specialising in international work. That meant travelling outside Equestria for as long as 6 months whenever needed to either help the dragons or the griffins on there home turf. Name: Karl, The 44th Clockmaker Age: Who bloody knows... Race: Pony Clockmaker Appearance: A blood-red coat along with a mane, dark and blue as lunas, holding a slightly brighter red swipe through it. Cutie mark represents a ornate clock overlayered by an axe. Personality: Highly unpredictable and unusual. Often takes small steps through the fourth wall, mentioning things out of the ordinary. Due to becoming the new Clockmaker, Karl has become more calm and wont be easily enraged. Powers, Special Skills and Abilities: Karl is incredibly strong for his appearence, and can easily brake a pillar and use that as a weapon against enemies when enraged. He also inhabits a sentient flame, which helps him when he needs it the most. His preffered choice of weapon is axes of all kinds. A highly dangerous foe who should not be underestimated at any cost. Silly helps him whenever needed and in most cases of pre-death situations, Silly will give Karl a full heal up in the exchange for total corruption over Karls body. Biography: After Karl regained his full memory, he destroyed The 43rd Clockmaker and took his place, becoming the new one. Now, due to keeping his duty of keeping Time intact, Karl has seen the point of his life and has calmed down and accepted his fate as the new Clockmaker. But, there's always things left. Karl still has The Black Flame, AKA Silly, inside of him. They've become brothers bound by soul, adding to Karls arsenal. Still, Silly can gain complete control over Karl if he uses Silly too much, giving Karl the time to wait for his next appearance from Silly. And, no matter how calm he'll be in the current situation, it's the same psychotic murderer everyone know and love. If you break his concentration and disrupt his calmness, you're gonna have a baaad time. Oh, and the pain waves are still left. But without the pain. So yeah, watch out for those. Extra Details: Karl can build a long range of weaponry given enough parts. These are mostly different kind of axes and hatches, but range from a simple knife to a nuclear powered, superheated blade. Biography: Before King Sombra came into power, Capriccio was under a mentorship from the royal Flugelhorner herself. The day he took over was the last day Capriccio ever saw her mentor. She gave Capriccio her personal Flugelhorn after going off to help the Princess. In the chaos of King Sombra's raid, Capriccio lost the Flugelhorn and it shattered into fifty-eight seperate pieces. After the Crystal Princess returned, Capriccio picked up her things and became the new royal Flugelhorner. Despite being the royal Flugelhorner, she spends most of her time playing for the denizens of the Crystal Kingdom. Capriccio's most important goal in life is to find the pieces of the royal Flugelhorn and repair it as a remembrance to her former mentor. I might add more to Fair Capriccio's story when I get home since I was kinda rushed when writing it. It feels too generic and not "original" enough. Also changed her cutie mark.

AWWWW YEAAAAH!!! This is back, Thankees Clockmaker for notifying me of it. Now where did I put my old character sheet from this. Ah yes, here it is. Name: Cyanside Age: Unknown (supposedly 15) Race: Pegasus Appearance: My avatar (You can't see it too well, but my cutie mark is the black half of the yin-yang symbol, Also with wings since I updated my avatar to a picture i derped with and forgot to put in wings) Personality: Carefree, outgoing, and playful. Often trying to help out other ponies. Has a split personality. When Cyanside changes personalities (Her other personality calls herself Shadow) her coat darkens to an almost-grey black, and her mane becomes purple with light blue streaks (As opposed to its regular light blue with purple streaks). Shadow is overly protective of Cyanside and the two of them see each other like sisters. They can communicate with each other directly in their mind. To other ponies, Shadow is often cold, emotionless, and often passive-aggressive. Shadow also likes fire. Powers: Coat and wings are highly fire resistant, As in they take a long time (Roughly five minutes) before fire will actually burn through the coat/wings and begin to hurt her. They still catch fire just as easily, but Shadow uses a lighter to set herself on fire of her own accord in combat situations (Mysteriously, when her body changes back to Cyanside, the lighter dissapears, only to reappear when she changes into Shadow again.) Cyanside cannot remember any of her foalhood, where she was from, or otherwise. For what she can remember, she has always been an orphan, with Shadow as her only friend until recently. Never went to school, and has never been able to keep a job for more than a week. For some reason the ponies in Fillydelphia fear her. (Oooh, it occured to me with the swapping, whoever gets swapped with me should probably have Shadow with them, but would that mean I would control Shadow?, since she's technically a part of Cyanisde...oooh, its so confusing) So can i be in it again Tyro, can i, can i, can i?
