She deserves her own thread. Let's discuss Lightning Dust. I think she's awesome for starters. I've always had a thing for the confident/cocky ones. Even though it wasn't official, I feel that she learned her lesson at the end of the episode. My friends online always talk with so much hate whenever I bring her up. I do agree that her behavior was wrong during the episode, but she can learn lessons too just like anypony else.(Trixie) Her skills far exceed the other candidates, but it was her lack of concern for them and her reckless behavior that made her not right for the Wonderbolts. I don't think she deserved to get kicked out of the academy. She should get another chance at becoming a Wonderbolt because she certainly has the potential. She's just like Rainbow Dash in so many ways. ^^Look at that face. It's obvious she is and will be thinking about what she did wrong. I want to see her make a return, but that is extremely unlikely. I have more to say, but I'll save it for a later time in this thread.
Lightning Dust is a better rival to Rainbow Dash than Gilda and a all around better character than Gilda and I sure like her alot more than Gilda especially since I hate Gilda but like Lightning Dust i'd really like to see Lightning Dust return in a future episode.
I dunno, if Trixie could return, I think Lightning Dust has the chance to return. I think I'd quite like to see that.
I agree with Lightning Dust. And, also, as I see it, Lightning dust wasn't actually kicked from academy, but rather stripped off her leader title, so I think it's still possible that she'll somehow get her way in The Wonderbolts, but not as one of leading ponies, but more maybe as one of followers, which also isn't bad.
Maybe that's what happened but none of us really know that for sure, also the one thing i've never been able to understand about the end of the episode is is Rainbow Dash in The Wonderbolts now the end of the episode doesn't really make it clear?
The way I took it is that Rainbow Dash was made a lead pony and would go to the next level of her training.
I use to think Dust would be like Gilda, start off as Dash's friend, then start hating Dash, and wants revenge, but it wasn't really Dash that got her in trouble even though Dash gave a complaint speech like she did Gilda. But as said, Dust might just lost her title, but is still a TB cadet. I like Dust, and how similar she is to Dash. I would like to see Dust again and hope she won't be as cocky and be more caring.
As my username suggests, I really like Lightning Dust. Also, as has been mentioned before, they never said she was kicked out of the academy; for all we know all that happened is that Dash became the lead pony and Dust became the wing pony. And for those who haven't seen it yet, here's my poem about Lightning Dust. PS: You know what would be really funny: if her middle initial was S. Then her initials would be LSD.
Like the poem, and love the drug joke, for some reason, I am beginning to come up with a headcanon about that being her initials. (Lightning Speed Dust)
Ship All the couples!! That's one of my not-well-thought-out mottos. People I see generally don't like shipping, but I always thought it was fun to pair all the characters and imagine how that goes. I don't take it seriously, though. That would kill the fun. Anyway, I really liked lightning dust. I'm sure she learned her lesson at the end of the episode and I'd like to see more of her. Hopefully without a wait as long as Trixie's.
