Bright pin-pricks rake across the sky, out-racing the stars. Against the backdrop, the cosmic siege barrage drifts by as migratory birds would. Along the banks and hillsides and the balconies, telescopes peep at the objects. There's picnics and the occasional food stand looking to take advantage of the general atmosphere of awe. Fireworks seemed oddly out-gunned by the flocks of debris bouncing off the atmosphere. The streaking dots captivated foals, leaving candy floss suspiciously uneaten. The evenings performance by the travelling objects new to the solar system had gone down well for those that wanted to watch pretty lights and stargazers alike. The mood, overall, is thoroughly ruined by a flurry of scrolls baffling staff. Learned ponies received a small tidal wave of messages detailing a long list of software attacks. Over and over throughout the night, O.P.I.A.T, the powerful, self-aware super-computer reported on viral attacks from various angles. Attempts to break the firewalls were fought off for at least an hour and a half. Viral attacks were dealt with with ease and posed little threat. Gradually, the got more vicious. They came from almost every angle. Data flooded in. From there, no pony has any idea what happened as the reports just display the image of a butterfly in a ASCII characters. O.P.I.A.T has sealed itself in a bunker, closing every exit to make a shell to hide in. The only thing that ever goes in are carts of scrap metal, moving backwards and forwards through the heavy doors. Blowing your way in looks pointless considering the thickness of that metal. Seeing as the Elements have been called in to help, you'll have to think of something else.
Tremalion looked dismayly at the bunker door, as the Champions gathered behind him. He was OPIAT's greatest friend and ally, and he wouldn't even be let in. He knew that if one thing harmed OPIAT in his computer form would be devastating, and if he was harmed in his mobile, energy form, Tremalion shuddered at the thought of the resulting explosion. "Why did you gather us Tremalion?" Dark Light asked. "You should already know the answer that question."
Karl was not sitting alone. Both Silly, Icy and Freedom were sitting by his side as his face was covered in a shadow. His mind was foggy, he couldn't concentrate. So he needed his friends to talk for him as he gathered his senses. "I guess this has to do with OPIAT locking himself in and not letting anypony get in or out?" Freedom asked holding his mech hoof on Karls back. Karls crystallite replacement was eerily black, because of Silly being at its core, but there was a crack going straight through it as a sign of his depleting sanity, glowing slightly as if there was something beneath the surface.
Dark Shine looked at the door, trying to stand without falling over as the amulet took energy out of his body. "So... What do we do? And how long? Too long and I think I may... Fall over." His eyes derped as he tried to focus on a position.
"I honestly don't know. I haven't gone without OPIAT's advice in long time, usually he could tell a general gameplan, but, but know HE'S the one were fighting. How does one even fight something that is smarter than anything else, and can tell almost exactly what you are about to do?" Tremalion replied flabergasted.
Tyro slinks next to Dark Shine, attempting to prop him up and keep him on her hooves. "I'd like it known that I had nothing to do with this..." Tyro announces, nodding towards Dark Shine. He then looks over to the bunker. Effectively, it was an artificial cave, built into a hill side. The stonearound the doors was covered in a layer of moss. For some reason, the door was as tall as a manticore. Even so, that thick metal was a daunting problem. "Can we burn through? Or blast it? What about another way in?"
Tremalion shook his head, "This is Freedom Rock, the most complex, and strongest bunker ever built. It was meant to keep my family safe and still ruling Equestria in case we weren't able to stay in Canterlot. So no."
"Oh brilliant..." Tyro grumbles, ears drooping with his head. "So any bright ideas?" In the background, there's a quiet rumble largely overwhelmed by the rattle of metal banging against each other with every lump in the road. The donkey in the battered brown fedora trots by the Elements and the Prince, giving them a curious look to meet their gazes while moving towards the doors.
"Not quite. There is still one possibility." Tremalion said, kicking over a plain wooden box that was next to him. It popped open, but was completely empty, but when the Champions looked at themselves, they found themselves in their Elemental Armor, "It might respond to the emergency override." Tremalion said, levitating out two crowns, an armband, and putting on his helmet, "Every royal symbol and one set of Elements, enough power together that might be enough to override OPIAT."
Tyro looked at himself and everypony else before voicing his concern. "Err...Tremy...Something...What, what are you planning?" He said, trying to bump Dark back on his hooves with his shoulder. The donkey takes a good look behind him at the noise of something being kicked. He comes to a sudden halt when Tremalion dons his armour. He was expecting something really cool to happen.
Tremalion walked up to the door, and stood there for a moment before the familiar of OPIAT came on, "Hello Tremalion, going to try another unsuccessful attempt to get in? I will have you know that if I am correct, your chances of success are 1 out of a thousand. Good luck!" OPIAT's voice faded out. "I will find out what is wrong with you friend, not matter what." Tremalion said to the door before turning his attention to the side of the door, where a panel popped out, sensing Tremalion's presence. He motioned for the others to come closer and his horn lit up, with all the peices being surrounded in a magic shroud that then connected to each other before going into the panel. (Tyro, as this is your rp, I will let you decide what happens next)
Dark Shine looked at Tyro and took the momentum to get back onto his hooves just in time for the armour to appear on him. He nodded weakly as he looked towards the door.
Much to everyones surprise, Karls armor starts cracking apart and start falling off. As it is literally destroying itself, it darkens immensely. "Umm, is that supposed to happen, Tremalion?" Icy asks, looking at the armor with a face of both confusion and fear. Karl was known to have had a few dark moments, but not like this. This was something different. It was as if Karl had become a ticking bomb. And he was soon gonna blow up. (Sorry Snow, if Karl has any type of damage resistance, he will become to powerful.)
Strangely enough, before the Prince's symbols of power touched anything electrical, two large lights swapped statuses. The red flicked off while the green one turned on. Behind him, the metal door begin to shift slowly upwards. A deafening beeping and constant hum of motors and mechanisms heaving the door out the way continues long before the gap created was large enough to pass through. The donkey and his cart trundles onwards and inside. "Everypony inside!" Tyro calls, leaving Dark to rush straight for the cool, dark interior.
Snow and Dark ran at the door, but Tremalion stood outside, "Just go! You should not need me!" he called as Snow turned to him, then disappeared with a crack of lightning that shoved the others inside.
As the group files in while the door rolls upwards as a mountain would be shoved to the side, Tyro creates a small fireball to hold in his paw. The cave was large and noisy. Appart from the clattering of the donkey's cart being unhitched and left, the only thing was some sort of fluttering from above. Tyro watches the donkey give them another strange look before wondering back outside and away from the group. "Luna did mention something about metal..." Tyro mumbles as the door halts. It doesn't reverse, however. It just stops, offering light a chance to spread into the cavern. As Tyro waved the flame about, he would get the tiniest hint of something fluttering by the light occasionally. When he looked up, the odd twinkle of something glinting the light back would meet his eyes. The ceiling was too high to see was it was in the light. Towards the far wall, a corridor started to light itself. With a loud clack, the corridor forced the darkness out, ushering them onwards. "Uh huh...."
