This is something concocted between me and a couple friends in the Computer Games Development class. Here's the basic idea. A momentum, based running game (think Canabalt) in which you are a pony running the race. There are various obstacles in your path which slow you down which you must avoid and your end score is based on the time and distance. I'm looking for animators, artists, musicians and maybe some programmers with android experience to help make this a reality. I'm posting this around to get a team together. Anyone interested?
I guess I could be interested, although uni could get in the way a lot :/ I have no experience with the android platform, in fact no GAMES development experience, but about 5 years programming, covering C/C++, C#, Basic, and a few others. ;-; I might be able to make a bit of music or maybe intros or something using Adobe After Effects. If not music, I have a lot of musician friends! Not bronies, but I might be able to get them to convert just enough Eh, I don't know lol
I'm very interested. The only problem I have is that I am part of another dev team working on a larger scale game, which is proving to be very tasking. I will consider joining, yes. Let me know if you need any concept art, or anything that fits into that criteria.
I'd have loved to have a go if my artwork was up-to-scratch. Wish you luck though, sounds like a good idea.

A bit more general info: The plan is to code it in Java and make it playable on android as well as on a website. We've not decided on an art style, but it will be 2D sprites. Art required will be character sprites and various backgrounds. Music required will be character themes and general racing themes, as well as a few situational jingles and sound effects. I'll let you know when and we can talk if it'd clash too much! I'll be sure to contact you shortly so we can discuss this. I just gotta do my research and make sure this is possible from the others involved!
Hmm, Java you say.. Count me out on programming then. I still offer services with After effects however, although this is a small project, I could perhaps make a trailer? or an intro?
Well this is sort of a step up project. Get this done, get my name and work out there and see if there's interest. Then build on it with something bigger and with wider appeal. It's going to be fun to make and even better to play hopefully, and I'll use the experience to make something better and more suited to the more competitive, less casual market.

Character sprites and backgrounds? I've designed a few of those, I could give them a shot, but I don't know if my skills are good enough for this lol
