Before you comment, you must read this entire message I have sent to all you. I posted my own belief on here, and this is no spam either. Humanity is good and bad, some people are good, some people are bad, and some just don't flat out care. I believe that when you say I have lost all hope in humanity' to me it means you are giving up. Before you comment or even think about kicking me from this site, read this entire message, it's your choice to post or not. Enjoy. From what I know people seem to be losing faith in mankind, and or getting depressed about this topic: http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?16812-I-have-lost-all-faith-in-humanity I probably said something that a lot of people took the wrong way, but I could care less about what I said (I do apologize if I said anything to offend anyone.) There are bullies, yes. There are murderers, liars, thief's, and etc. But from that there are Philanthropists, good parents, great friends, etc. There is a balance to everything believe it or not, good and wickedness, and I believe that these two coexist in some ways that I sure couldn't explain. I've been bullied my entire life, from my stuff being stole to being beat up and trash talked to, I have learned to adapt, but that was four years ago. For the first time in four years I have friends, people who understand me (My parents understand me as well) and I could;t have asked for anything more. I have not lost faith in humanity at all, I just hate he people who take advantage of us, who treat us like dirt in the ice, who reap everything we have sewn. I know most of you have not lost faith in humanity, but when one person dies w all think that mankind has turned on itself. That might be true, that may not be true. People die every day, people we know and don't know, the ones close to use will be mourned for once ether move on to the next stage of their new life, but people we do not know we still feel the sorrow for them, even if it's a hobo who had passed away on the streets. I am sensitive, but I have learned to accept that life is life, and some people can take the torment, and some can't, and some can take their own life. I did not make this to make anyone feel depressed, or to get you heated for an argument or a fight. Our lives are baed on decision, not faith or destiny, but our decisions count for every lats second we live, even as the old and the new born. We all have a life to live, friends or not, family or not, we must pull through even the darkest of times to live the life we want to live, not that life that is chosen for us. Thank you for reading this. Joshua M. taylor.
I am going to take what you're saying seriously and actually give it some thought for the purpose of responding here. You're very right about one thing; most people would agree that humanity is a menagerie of good and bad people doing good and bad things. However, it's also more complicated than even that. I'm sure you understand this. One day, a person might murder someone. The next day, that murderer might save someone's life. Those two descriptions don't tell you a lot about who that person is, they only tell you two of the things they've done, and even then there are no specifics. People are complicated, and I agree that anyone who damns all of humanity (or even a single person, for that matter, but that's my personal belief) as being wholly evil is both naive and dogmatic. Ultimately, it is somewhat futile to expect people on the internet to have much perspective on life. I too have been guilty, in the past, of what many young people are often guilty of: dismissive and absolutist ethics. I have sympathy for anyone who thinks that way; it is neither fulfilling nor does it fit with the way of world.
Eeyup, I agree with both of y'all. And if I may add this, especially the part about decision. I hate when anybody says anyone "had no choice", because it's bunk. Free will, people. We have it. It gives us the ability to make an infinite variety of choices at any point in time. Choices make the person, not the other way around.
