Hi everyone, We're a two-man development team working with the Unreal 4 engine in hopes of creating a career for ourselves in the games industry. It would be greatly appreciated to hear your feedback for our game. Currently it's packaged to run on 64-bit PC systems and we're in the process of packaging a 32-bit version as well as Mac and Linux ports. Right now 1368x768 resolution support has not been implemented. If you think our project has enough merit please vote for us on Steam Greenlight and let us know it! Through faster-than-light technology, nations strive to colonize the universe while diverging factions struggle for control and freedom throughout space. Yeah... piss off. This site needs active members, not jackasses looking for free advertising. Also, I downvoted your game on Greenlight.
Thank you all for the feedback and I understand your annoyance towards my post. The majority of our time has been invested in learning game design and development with little to properly contribute to these message boards, even as big fans of Lauren Faust's work in animation. We wanted to take an opportunity to gather constructive criticism as well as introduce ourselves, but it's clear we've handled this situation inappropriately and hope you can forgive us.
A better way you could have handled this is ctually made a real intro post about yourself and then made a thread in the gaming section about your game.
You're not the first person to try using forums for advertising, and you certainly won't be the last. I understand wanting to get the word out about your game, but you have to realize how this looks from our perspective. This is a small forum. Maybe forty or fifty active members per day, if that. Because of the small size of the community, people here get a chance to know each other pretty well, and having new members join is kind of a big deal. When somebody joins the forum with the sole intention of advertising, it comes off as rather insulting. Whether you intended to or not, you sent the message that while you have no desire to interact with us, you do want our money.
