As some know I joined yesterday an made some what of an impression over in the Introduction Section I've only just got into MLP FM, I did however love the original from when I was a kid. However everytime some walks past my PC an I have forums open or a video I change tabs & I'm also a little worried on what my other halfs on think. She knows I'm a HUGE geek & animation fan but not of the Ponies...Yet :/
I have only told one person about my love of My Little Pony and they were totally ok with it. Although, if certain people found out that I was a brony in my school, I would come home with a black eye everyday. My advice, if you want to tell someone about it, is to tell the person who you trust the most. Maybe your best friend in the entire world, then they wouldn't judge you for being YOU. Oh, and welcome!
If she loves you, she'll love you ponies and all. My wife isn't much of an animation fan and I am, but I've shown her a few things that she likes, and she doesn't worry about my ponies. In fact, one day, she took one of those MLP personality quizzes, and she asked me, "This personality quiz said I'm like Rarity - is that bad?" Rarity wasn't my favorite, but I said, "No pony is bad." After a while, she finally said, "OK, show me an episode with Rarity." Now she's a brony too. So I say, don't force it on her, but don't hide it, either.
Thats cool - unfortunately my wife to be is defo no a girly girl haha So cute isn't in her vocabulary even though she works with children hahaha
your only hope is to show her over a barrel and hope she tinks its humorous,if it fails, atleast you had a good run with him/her
I never thought of my wife as girly girl, rather the opposite, in fact, but she is an artist, and I can see the similarity between Rarity and her dresses and her artwork - she does jewelry, cloths, things like that. Plus, they both have a willingness to get kick-ass when necessary!
It's when people don't understand what the show actually offers that they don't understand why you like it. It's never good to let people find out about it, you need to tell them. And the thing is, it's no big deal! So what something takes your fancy, does it change you, does it make you a worse person? No, if anything it will teach you something (cheesy). You can't choose what you like, and it shouldn't matter what people think about what you like, just be confident.
For some reason I had to post to view page 2 *ooodddd* Anyway she knows my geekys side, I mean in the studio I have figures from games / transformers & soon Thundercats 2011. She would just give the odd look an go "I worry about you sometimes" lol
Well apparently I don't have permission to view the second page on this thread on this server. Brilliant.
