So for those of you who don't know, a rather substantial storm is making it's way across central US. Not exactly run for the hills, but definitely causing havoc. Been up since 4 am setting up pumps, running hoses, and doing general damage control for my, and my sisters house down the way. Has been just rain so far, but lighting and high winds are looming on the horizon, creeping ever closer. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't still so cold. The hoses are more like slinkies at this point, so it's making it a hassle having to pressurize them first to get all the kinks out. For some reason though, all the while I've had Celestia singing on auto-repeat in my head, gotta admit, been kinda nice .... though... maybe a sign of being a bit too obsessed? Anyway finally got a break to warm up and have a cup of coffee, so figured I'd take a moment to send well wishes to everypony out there also trudging though this storm. Hope y'all make it through in one piece .... though I imagine many, like my niece, are just happy to have the day off from school.
Hmm... I didn't actually realize this till you said it. I pointed out that it's been raining here for the past three days (*looks out window* yep, three), but I blamed that on Kansas being Kansas. It has a funny definition of monsoon. Hope the storm isn't hitting anyone too badly, we've just had a little drizzle lately.
