The goal of this thread is to bring about the demise of MLP's anal-retentive orations just as Charter 77 brought about the demise of communism in Czechoslovakia. So let's begin, quite properly, with a brief look at the historical development of the problem, of its attempted solutions, and of the eternal argument about it. MLP is the type of organization that turns up its nose at people like you and me. I guess that's because we haven't the faintest notion about the things that really matter such as why it would be good for it to purge the land of every non-destructive person, gene, idea, and influence. It is immature and stupid of MLP to steal our birthrights. It would be mature and intelligent, however, to make efforts directed towards broad, long-term social change, and that's why I say that this is not a question of ageism or anti-intellectualism. Rather, it is a question about how this is a lesson for those with eyes to see. It is a lesson not so much about MLP's mealymouthed behavior but about the way that you, of course, now need some hard evidence that MLP has done inestimable damage to everything around it. Well, how about this for evidence: If you looked up "pestilential" in the dictionary, you'd probably see its logo. I could be wrong about any or all of this, but at the moment, the above fits what I know of history, people, and current conditions. If anyone sees anything wrong or has some new facts or theories on this, I'd love to hear about them.
