Hello, everypony! I am Moonbright, wife of Cupcake Ice Cream. I am currently in my senior year of a biology degree, and I am going half insane with PhD program applications. So if I tend to be a bit sporadic in posting, please understand that school tends to eat my brain once in a while. ^_^ I am heavy into genetics and ecology, and I plan on getting a PhD in an ecology, evolution, and behavior. As far as MLP goes, I have been a fan since the 1980's, when I was a little girl. The first birthday cake I remember had a pony figure on it. When I found FiM, I was ecstatic! I managed to get Cupcake into MLP (it did not take much), and now we are one happy MLP family! ^____^ My favourite pony is Twilight Sparkle. She reminds me quite a bit of myself. We are both extremely studious (I am a 4.0 student), and we both go insane over our grades, etc. Poor Cupcake has to deal with me flipping out every finals week. It goes from me putzing along with school, doing my thing to me running around like Twilight, going out of my mind because (GASP) I only have a 94% course total going into the final! Celestia forbid! I am terrible about ignoring people when I am reading, too, and just answering with the, "Yeah, uh huh" type of responses.

I am enjoying my stay thus far, thank you, everypony. ^^ Lumina, thank you. That is my OC Pony, as you may have guessed. I am going to scan and upload an image of the badge I got made of her, as well, as it shows her wings. In the pony creator, I left the wings off because they hid the cutie mark. The DNA helix cutie mark is important. ^^ I have had people ask why I have the name "Moonbright" and have a seemingly unrelated cutie mark. However, I am nocturnal by nature, and I do my best thinking at night. I love the moon, and I find it to be a constant source of inspiration. It is also a double meaning, since bright can both mean illumination and intelligence. You get a "bright idea," or encourage "bright students" to continue their studies.

But doesn't mean I won't give you a warm welcome! And you say that there have been attempts To consume your brain? This is most intriguing, And definitely not both a hyperbole and personification. So many new ponies to try and run around and randomly greet! Of all the ponies I'm glad I stopped here! A pair that's already married and into ponies?! That's just the most amazing thing ever! I mean, my boyfriend and I are into MLP:FiM together, and he was the one to get me into ponies before we even started going out. But MARRIED bronies?! That's just amazing! Spectacular! Phenomenal! I can hardly contain my excitement! So, in that case, HI I'M HARLEY! Resident hyper-active nutcase and the unofficial official greeter of new ponies on the EPR chat! Which speaking of which, if you want study music that's pony related you should totally check it out! Music is good and if you get into the chat the ponies there are fun and amazing! I'd love to chat with you some more! But I'm afraid forums take up too much time, usually, so I rarely use them. But I do pop on every once in a while! And woooooo, you are a genius! :O Genetics? Ecology? That's crazy! I love genetics, but I'm only into equine genetics in terms of how they get their colors and stuff like that. So I understand genetic structure and how to "predict" things but that's about it. I don't know the real course in genetics, though I'd like to one day - maybe one day! ^-^ Anyway! Hi! Harley, you remind me a bit of myself (the fact that one of my monickers is "Harle" does help). I started in genetics because of rabbits. I used to raise and show rabbits, and I began learning coat colour genetics. One thing led to another, and poof, here I am! Well, here being my degree rather than an actual location...

That's awesome! I'll probably take up a genetics class SOMEWHERE but first I want to work hard enough with horses in order to find a good career with them. I found an equestrian college in Oregon that I'm hoping to attend either this upcoming fall or the fall after that. They also help with job placement, which means finding an equestrian related job won't be too hard since they have all the great connections. But I do love my genetics, I love to look at a horse and try to figure out their genetic string. Like, I know my horse is at least Ee for on set of her color genetics, but I don't know about the second half because well - it's a long story. But yes, your avatar is absolutely amazing, by the way! ^-^ And the reasoning behind your name is very well thought out, I love it!
