(@MorphinBrony This is not the greatest roleplay in the world, this is just a reboot...) Midnight Sparkle, a young intelligent school student was corrupted by uncontrollable power, driven mad by the chaotic drive of her seemingly limitless power. If she couldn't conquer her own dimension, she would try and make sure that absolutely nothing would.... In another dimension, Starlight Glimmer was tampering with the dangerous fabric of time, preventing another Sparkle from defeating her and foiling her plans for unity. It was only during the two unicorns confrontation did they both notice that Starlight did more damage then she should have. For when Midnight tried to destory her universe, something impossible happened. Something that should have never been possible in the first place but happened anyway. The multiverse began to leak...
The next day... Circuit Breaker, a senior at Canterlot High, was shocked to wake up to discover that standing in his bedroom was what looked like a pony that bore a heavy resemblance to himself. Similar hairstyle, similar glasses... The resemblance was uncanny.
Meanwhile... Crimson Lionheart, a senior at Canterlot High, was looking at what appeared to be his Equestrian counterpart in the face. The weirder thing was that they looked almost completely identical, had it not been for the difference that they were two different races. One human and One Unicorn. They both found each other in the bathroom while they were brushing their teeth, and was just looking at each other wide-eyed about everything. "Crimson! I-I mean me!" Pony Crim said shocked, taking a step back to study the human. "H-How in Celestia's name!"
Circuit stared at his pony self in shock. "What are you?" his pony counterpart asked. "And why am I here?"
Human Crimson had the same question at his place, thinking about what this could have meant. "I have a feeling, but we have to look at the sky to make sure if it's true. If it is, then I'm afraid that we don't have much time..."
Crimson reached for his cell phone and answered it, keeping his eyes on the pony before him. "Hello?"
(Reeeeeeboooooooot!) Canterlot High was one hell of a place, when it needed to be. The school used to originally be a relatively normal place until one particular event led to another, and the entire school fell under the victim of mind control and possession. Twice. The final time was nothing short of apocalyptic, but it's been a month since that very day has passed. Life seemed to return to normal once again, everything seemed to go back on track. That peace wouldn't last long however....
One morning, Circuit Breaker was getting ready for school. Today was just a normal day, he thought. Suddenly, on the news, there was a chilling announcement. "...and we have just received confirmation that a nuclear explosion occurred in Washington, D.C. this morning," the newscaster said, visibly anguished, "The death toll has been estimated at over 658,000 people, about the entire population of the city, with the President of the United States, his wife and children, and various other politicians among the casualties. So far, not a single nation is claiming responsibility for the unprovoked strike. We'll have more details as they are revealed."
The news quickly set shockwaves through the US government, all of whom are looking for answers to who was responsible for the destruction of Washington DC. The aftershock of those on the East Coast was absolutely terrifying, with mass panic and rioting in New York City after all attempts. The radioactive fallout would have spread much larger then the destruction itself, which left half of the East Coast at risk. Approximately half an hour later, Five cities on the East Coast, including New York, went into Martial Law. It was the bombs that killed people anymore, it was what happened after. Then....something unexpected. Mecca, the Holiest City of all of Islam, was obliterated after a second nuclear detonation. And all hell broke loose......
Circuit knew he couldn't waste any time. He had to get the others and find a safe haven. He called as many friends as he could and told them to meet him in the fallout shelter beneath Canterlot High.
Circuit's group of friends made it to the shelter, along with those already at school which included, which were the Principal's and many other students. About two hundred students made it to the shelter, just as the first air-raid sirens were sounded. And the first beacon of light appeared in the sky.. Crimson Lionheart, friend to Circuit Breaker and many of his friends would never make it....
Among those who had safely entered the shelter were Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Sunset Shimmer, and Twilight Sparkle. For Crimson, however, it was too late. The bomb had fallen, just as Crimson had reached the shelter door.
It wasn't just the girls who noticed, practically everyone was watching the shelter door for those who were late. First, it was disbelief. Then, that disbelief turned into panic as the muffled sounds of Crimson's banging fists upon the door were sounded. Then, that panic turned into horror....as the sound of a loud explosion was sounded along with the banging before ultimately silence....
Circuit couldn't believe it. Crimson had died in the sudden nuclear attack. He fell to his knees, and broke down into tears. "We can mourn Crimson later," said Principal Celestia, "Come on, all of you, into the decontamination room." Circuit and the girls followed Celestia into the decontamination room.
A grim silence fell among the students as they marched to the decontamination room, suffering from the sudden loss of Crimson. They all went deeper into the Vault, where they were to wait out the horrors of the world above them.
"Step inside the chambers," said Principal Celestia as they entered the decontamination room. They did, but little did they know that they were actually being cryogenically frozen. ---- It was now the year 2216. Somehow, life managed to continue despite the world succumbing to nuclear annihilation. The students and staff of what was once Canterlot High School had suffered from a cryogenic malfunction, killing them. All of them, except for seven. Circuit Breaker and his friends were the only people to awaken. And just in time, too...
The seven who survived were left in the shelter were all gathered just outside of their pods, unaware of how much the world had changed above them. The concept of time was a complex thing to them now, as their cryogenic slumber merely felt like they had only went to sleep. Those who died in the pods must have died many decades ago... "I don't know what we are going to find..." Rarity said aloud. "Just...prepare for the worst."
Twilight checked the other pods. "Dead. All dead," she said, "Something must have happened to them." "Well, we'd better find out what happened," said Sunset, anxious to see the rest of the world. Circuit activated the door to the shelter, and as they exited, he said, "Let's go to Crimson's house. I think a certain someone may still be alive..."
Meanwhile.... A young woman stood inside the middle of her garden, dressed in a long skirt and brim hat as she watered the front of her home, which happened to be a beautiful garden despite the post-apocalyptic suburbia around them. Flowers actually seemed to be growing perfectly, along with grass, which seemed to be rare in comparison to the nothingness of the wasteland. The ruins of downtown Canterlot were seen many miles away, where only a handful of half-destroyed sky scrapers were seen in the background. She was busy humming a tune to herself until she noticed the seven behind her. The moment she did, she extended her arms out wide in an almost cartoonish fashion and pulled them into a giant yet warm hug. "It's been 200 years! I thought you died many moons ago!" Ivory happily said, tears running down her eyes from the artificial tear-ducts she had. "It has been over 73, 021 days since I have last seen you~"
