Ruby Starlight was the child of Crimson Lionheart and Sunset Shimmer, two immeasurably powerful mages. Born during a cold winters day almost twenty years ago, Ruby now enjoys life as a wealthy child of two famous parents. Ruby had a bright red coat like her father, but had her mothers milky blue eyes. She also had a deep purple mane like her father as well, and seemed to have inherited some of her fathers personality as well. She had only celebrated her 19th birthday recently, and was overall enjoying life.
Blast Processing was the son of Rainbow Dash and Circuit Breaker. He was a pegasus like his mother, but he had his father's chestnut mane and grey coat. He also had his mother's magenta eyes. He inherited personality traits from his mother, but seemed to have a knack for electronics like his father. He had just turned 17, and was generally happy.
Tonight happened to be a party! A party planned by resident party planner, Pinkie Pie. All to celebrate Blast's birthday and to celebrate him with all the affection he needed. Ruby was trying to look as pretty as she could for tonight, the birthday colt happened to have been friends with Ruby almost since they knew each other from birth. They basically grew up together, and were the best of friends. Just then, the old Equestrian exile herself came through the door. Sunset Shimmer looked at her daughter, smiling proudly.
Blast was busy making sure he was ready for the party. "Don't forget to brush your teeth, son," said full-time Wonderbolt Rainbow Dash. "I won't, Mom." He then wondered about Ruby. Would she show up? Who was he kidding, he thought, of course she would.
Ruby was on the way to the party, wearing an expensive looking sparkly dress that almost looked prettier then she already did. Ruby was walking alongside Sunset Shimmer, Principal of Celestia's Academy of Gifted Unicorns. Her father was right behind her, Crimson Lionheart, World-Famous filmmaker and magic prodigy. Ruby's parent's were quite young for their age, not being that much older then Ruby was when she was born. It didn't stop them from being the amazing parent's that they were however... They soon arrived at the party, knocking on the door,
Blast opened the door, wearing a lime-green tuxedo. Behind him were his parents, Rainbow Dash and Circuit Breaker, the latter was a successful programmer. "Oh, hey Ruby," Blast said.
"Hey Blast! Happy Birthday!!!" Ruby happily said before bringing Blast in for a hug, holding him tightly. What made the situation cuter was that she could feel his heartbeat, which spiked once she was holding him.
Ruby cutely laughed at Blast, deciding to play around with him as their parents began their own conversations and went into the kitchen. "You always look great. Anyone from school coming tonight?"
"Well, I heard Appleseed couldn't make it," Blast said, "he's sick." Appleseed was a good friend of Blast's and Applejack and Trenderhoof's son. "But Scootaloo promised she'd come," Blast continued, "and Dad told me he invited Princess Twilight."
"Awesome, hope you've had an amazing birthday today. Oh! Here's your present!" Ruby told him, reaching into her saddlebag and bringing out a wrapped box.
Blast opened it eagerly. He gasped in delighted surprise, for inside the box was a JoyBoy 3D. "Oh, thanks!" he said.
"No problem!" Ruby smiled, giggling at the reaction that Blast had from the present. "There wasn't many left, I tried looking everywhere for it. Luckily that I happened to find a place that still had one in stock"
"It's weird. Sunny? Has the been something like that at the School?" Crimson asked his wife, all the adults sitting in the kitchen chatting. "Aside from the student's getting their test scores above average this year? Not really." Sunset told him. "Actually, I'd go as far to say that one or two of the Straight A students are as powerful as you were before we married. About Princess Twilight level before she moved into the library in Ponyville." "That powerful? Geez, kids nowadays..." Crimson took a sip of his drink.
"I know, right?" said Rainbow Dash. "They have it easy. It took me years to get to the rank of Lieutenant." "And I spent years working on the operating system for the Faustronic 1010 computer line," Circuit added.
"Think we'll see another Princess Twilight or Starswirl in our lifetimes?" Sunset asked her husband. "I won't be surprised if we do. Heck, Ruby might be the next big thing!" Crimson joked about. Crimson and Sunset were both unicorns, so it was only natural that she was born as a unicorn as well. However, Ruby inherited both of the magical talents that her parents did. Possibly, if she put her mind to it, she could become more powerful then the Royal Sisters within the next few years. Sadly, she was also kinda lazy...
"I'd just be happy if Blast had a normal life," said Circuit. "I wouldn't worry about him," replied Rainbow Dash, "He's a good stallion." Circuit nodded, with a tear in his eye. "They grow up so fast," he said sadly.
"It felt like only yesterday since Ruby was born...where in Equestria has all that time gone?" Crimson said with a bittersweet smile, all before Sunset pulled her red coated unicorn into a hug.
