(@Crimson Lionheart It begins...) A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Rarity races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy.... ---- In orbit above the planet Tatooine, the Tantive IV was being pursued by an Imperial Star Destroyer. The occupants of the former were preparing for an attack. Among those aboard were Flutter-3PO, a shy protocol droid, and SP1-K, an astromech droid with a crush on the ship's owner, Princess Rarity Organa of Alderaan. The two droids were trotting through a corridor, when suddenly, the ship shook from blaster fire from the Star Destroyer. "Did you hear that, SP1?" asked Flutter-3PO nervously as Rebellion troopers rushed past to take positions at the doorway behind them, "They hit the main reactor! We'll be destroyed for sure! And the princess won't be able to escape this time!" "Oh please, we've survived worse," replied SP1-K irritatedly, "Remember that time on Geonosis when you swapped heads with a--" "We agreed never to speak of that again, didn't we?" "Oh, right..." The ship lurched to a halt as the Star Destroyer docked with it. Smoke began to seep out of the door as the Rebels readied their blasters. Not a moment later, the door burst open as Stormtroopers charged through the hallway, overwhelming the defending Rebels and leaving their bodies splayed all over the corridor. HRRRRROOOO... KSSSSSSSHHHH... HRRRRROOOO... KSSSSSSSHHHH... Heavy hoofsteps could be heard from behind the smoke that now filled the doorway. Through the smoke trotted a tall alicorn in black armor that also functioned as life support. Darth Moon had just made an appearance...
Darth Moon walked through the corridor along the line of her Stormtroopers, while the now dead Rebels on the ground just littered around the hallway. She looked around in annoyance. "My God! Look at this mess! 'Hey, Darth Moon's gonna be here. Should we maybe clean the place up? Nah. It's okay. He won't mind." She then sighed before heading towards the captured Princess Rarity , behind restrained by two armed stormtroopers. "Well, well! Princess Rarity. Are you prepared to tell me what you've done with the stolen Death Star plans?" She ordered from the Princess.
"How dare you suggest that I have a hoof in the Rebellion!" replied the Princess in indignation. "As a member of the Imperial Sena--" "Former member of the Imperial Senate. The Empire knows of your treachery, and you shall be dealt with as such. Take her away!" The two Stormtroopers did as they were told. "My father will hear about this!" shouted Rarity as she was dragged away. "Commander," Darth Moon ordered, "Tear the ship apart until you find those plans, and bring me the passengers. I want them alive!" --- "Oh, there you are, SP1!" said a relieved Flutter-3PO, "Where were you?" "Can't talk about it," the astromech droid replied, "We need to get outta here!" "What do you mean?" "Quick! In this escape pod!" said SP1-K as he entered a nearby pod. "Oh, I'm gonna regret this," said Flutter-3PO as she followed him in.
The escape pod suddenly blasted out of the ship and began to enter free-fall towards a large desert planet below. Upon arriving on the planet, both Flutter-3PO and SP1-K walked across a vast desert ocean from the wrecked remains of the escape pod. "By my sensors, we are approximately hundreds, if not thousands of miles away from the nearest settlement!" Flutter-3PO said in shock. "We're going to die out here!" SP1-K simply turned away from Flutter-3PO and began to head in a different direction. "Hey, where are you doing?!" "We can cover more distance if we split up! And they Imperial's are less likely to find us together!" SP1-K. Flutter-3PO just shook her head. "We truly are going to die in this wasteland..."
Some time later... ---- SP1-K reactivated and felt as if he'd had the droid equivalent of a hangover. He looked around him and deduced that he must be aboard some type of transport. "Oh, SP1, thank goodness you're okay!" said Flutter-3PO, a hint of worry in her voice, "I can't believe we've been taken by Jawas..." "So that's what's going on here," sighed SP1-K. "Better scavenging traders than the Empire..."
Meanwhile... In a small ranch somewhere on the planet, a mare looked out into the sunset, dressed in white as her mulberry-colored coat stood out, along with her deep violet and brilliant rose streaked mane. The planet has two different suns, and both of them were about to set in a beautiful sight that turned the sky a dark orange. She looked out in wonder in what the world around had in store, feeling as if she was apart of something greater. Luckily for her, it turned out she was. As her uncle told her this morning that Jawas would be selling some supplies.
That mare's name was Twilight Skywalker, and as she heard her uncle calling her, she came galloping over. "What is it, Uncle Mac?" she asked him. "I just bought a pair of droids to help us with the harvest," he replied, gesturing to Flutter-3PO and SP1-K. Uncle Macintosh was a rather large stallion with a deep red coat and a mane with a color similar to wheat. "I want you to go inside and clean them up." "So does that mean I can't go down to Toshi Station to pick up a couple of power converters?" whined Twilight in disappointment. "Eenope, not tonight, Twilight. Maybe tomorrow." "Alright..." She walked up to the two droids. "Good evening, my name is Twilight Skywalker." "Pleasure to meet you," said SP1-K, "I am astromech droid SP1-K, at your service. This is my counterpart, Flutter-3PO, pony cyborg relations." "Um... hello..." said the protocol droid nervously. "Follow me, please, I'm going to get you both nice and clean," said Twilight as she went inside. "Oh, thank the Maker! This will feel sooo good!" said Flutter-3PO in anticipation.
Twilight took the two droids inside and began to work on cleaning the two of them, where they seemed to be dirty from all the dust and sand that entered their circuits. She worked on making sure that SP1-K was clean first, since he was the smallest of the two and would take less time. Just as she was cleaning him with a towel, she noticed something strange. "There is something stuck in the SP unit" Twilight said aloud, trying to tinker with it. SP1-K then accidentally began to play a small hologram on the floor, taking the purple mare by surprise as a projection of a white mare with a purple mane spoke with pleading eyes. "Help me, Celestia. You're my only hope~" The mare on the screen spoke.
And the hologram repeated. "Who is she? She's beautiful," observed Twilight. "Oh, her?" said Flutter-3PO, "That would be our previous owner, Princess Rarity Organa of Alderaan... How did you get this hologram, anyway?" "I don't really remember," said SP1-K, "All I remember is the Princess telling me to deliver this message to a Celestia Kenobi. I know the name, but it's been forever since I've heard it. But that sort of thing happens when you're caught up in the Rebellion..." "The Rebellion, you say?" repeated Twilight, "You mean the Rebellion against the Empire?" "That's actually how we got here, if you know what I'm mean," said Flutter-3PO. "Well, I don't know anypony named Celestia Kenobi... but I do know this old hermit mare named Lauren Kenobi. She lives near the Dune Sea. And she's older than she looks." "I see," replied SP1-K. Twilight then checked the wall chronometer. "Oh, look at the time!" she said, "It's getting late, and my uncle's shutting down the power. I need to get some rest."
The two droids both nodded. "I suppose we both need to conserve some power as well. But we can come with you if you want?" SP1-K said
The next day... Twilight went to get breakfast with her aunt and uncle. "Good morning, Twilight," said Aunt Smith, an elderly mare with a pale green coat and a silver mane. "Morning," said Twilight. "Say, I was wondering... would I be able to file my application to the Academy this year?" Uncle Macintosh spat out his tea. "You mean, the semester before the harvest? But that's when I need you the most, Twilight." Twilight's heart sank slightly. "Listen, Twi... By this time next year, I might be able to hire a couple of ponies to help around here, and then you can apply for the Academy." "But..." "It's alright, hun. Just one more year." "Yeah, that's what you said when Biggs Moondancer left," Twilight snarked. She then finished eating and said, "I need to check on those droids, and make sure they're okay." "Go ahead," said Uncle Mac. As Twilight left, Aunt Smith said, "Poor young lady... all of her friends have gone to the Academy without her..." "Life happens, Smith. Sometimes you just have to move on." "This means so much to her, though. And besides, she's clearly not meant to be a farmer. She's got too much of her mother in her." Uncle Mac simply nodded and said, "That's what I'm afraid of." ---- Out in the desert... Stormtroopers combed through the area, looking for anything related to the escape pod that had crashed nearby. "Look sir, droids," said one of them to his superior, holding up a gear. ---- Aboard the Death Star... Princess Rarity was inside her cell, dreading what awaited her, as the door opened. "What do you want with me, Darth?" she demanded, "I'm in your custody, what more do you need?" "Relax, my dear," said the Sith Lady, in a tone that feigned reassurance. "I simply wish to discuss the location of your Rebel friends." It was then that Rarity noticed the approaching mind probe.
Skywalker headed back to the droids in her garage, where she had left the two of them alone together as they cleaned themselves off. When she walked in, Flutter-3po was covered from the neck down in an oil bath that tried to remove every loose and rusty joints in her body. But when she noticed Twi walk in, she looked away embarrassed. "Sorry, it's been forever since I did this. My parts were rusty..." She said awkwardly.
"Never mind that," said Twilight, "where's SP1?" Flutter-3PO gasped. "Oh no, he's gone! He must have left while I was in sleep mode!" "Great," said Twilight, "Well, we'd better find him..."
Flutter-3PO hopped out of the bath and leapt into action. "I don't know why he would have wondered off like that. It's not normally like him..."
Twilight climbed into her landspeeder, with Flutter-3PO doing so not too long after. As they approached the Dune Sea, Twilight got out her binoculars and searched for the missing astrodroid. "That's him, alright," said Twilight as she hit the accelerator. Soon, they had caught up with him. "Oh, hi girls," he said in surprise, "I'd take cover, if I were you. There seem to be a group of creatures approaching from the northeast." Twilight took out her binoculars again. "Well, there are a couple of Banthas, but... wait a minute, those are Sand Ponies. We'd better tread carefu--" But Twilight was cut off by the screeching of a Sand Pony as it blocked her vision and attacked her. SP1-K hid in a rock formation nearby as Twilight was knocked unconscious. The Sand Ponies ransacked her speeder, when a loud, unnatural shriek was suddenly heard. The Sand Ponies scattered, as a figure in a brown cloak approached Twilight's unconscious body, holding out a white hoof to examine her. SP1-K gasped, getting the figure's attention. It threw back its hood, to reveal a mare with a white coat and a long, flowing mane colored in green, blue, and purple streaks. She appeared to be an alicorn, judging by the length of her horn. "Hello, there," she said, in a friendly yet authoratative voice.
The Alicorn looked at the unconscious Twilight and helped her up onto her back, while looking at the droids. "She will be okay, the blow that she was dealt wasn't fatal. she said in a peaceful tone. "Come...I'll take her home to care for her, it's dangerous around in these part's."
Twilight awoke. "Lauren? Am I glad to see you!" she said eagerly. "As am I," she replied, "A minute longer, and you may have been taken captive. Why are you out here, anyway?" "Well, my SP unit wandered out here last night. He told me he has a message for a Celestia Kenobi. Do you know who he's talking about?" The alicorn gazed off into the distance thoughtfully. "Celestia... That's a name I haven't heard... in a long time." "So you do know her." "Of course, Twilight," replied the alicorn with a smile, "You're talking to her!"
Twilight looked at Celestia wide-eyed. "You're Celestia Kenobi!?!" She said in shock, shaking like a leaf out of excitement. "Oh my....I....ummm..."
