It all began with an incident at CHS.... Recently, a group of thugs from another school had been waiting for some of the more defenseless students to wonder home, and demanding that they pay a fee for their safety. Many were forced to pay, but some of the more stubborn students only met their fates with a few bruises and cuts after having the snot beaten out of them. Things didn't help when these thugs outnumbered the students almost six to one, and had been recently made quite a profit from it. They are, however, unaware of what was about to happen to them. From this incident, one bizarre adventure would take place...
As Rainbow Dash approached the alley, she noticed a group of thugs approaching her. "Hey, babe," one of them asked, clearly hitting on her, "We'd hate to hurt a beauty like you, but I'm afraid we'll have to if you don't pay the toll." Rainbow Dash simply folded her arms in front of them, a stern look crossing her face. "Not gonna happen, tough guy." "If you're not gonna pay," he said, angrily this time, "we'll have to take it from ya." Rainbow Dash wasn't prepared for a fight today, so she had little time to prepare a defensive stance once they began to rush at her, but she didn't need to, for just as they were about to strike her, her eyes closed and face shielded out of fear, she heard very loud thunder from either side of her. When she opened her eyes and lowered her arms, she saw that the thugs had been knocked back 30 feet, with signs of electrical shock all over their body. They scrambled to their feet and ran. "Wha... what just happened?" she asked in bewilderment.
The group of thugs quickly head for the hills, unaware that they had just been defeated by a supernatural force out of nowhere. They didn't realize however, unless they could see it, that they had just been attacked by a Stand. Regardless, the sudden disappearance was a relief towards the students of CHS, who's pockets now started to be filled with their own money again. But this wasn't the end, but it was merely the beginning. As Rainbow wondered what happened, and would most likely talk to her friends about what had happened, a well-known student knew that he would need to confront her sooner or later about what had happened...
Rainbow Dash went to school the next day, and she was having an even more difficult time than normal. Everytime she tried to concentrate on her work, she was distracted by the memories of what had happened yesterday. She was still confused, and she wanted answers.
Crimson had picked up on this rather quickly, and the moment that she had time to herself, he went over to her privately. "Rainbow, can you explain what happened yesterday?"
Rainbow Dash sighed as she recalled the events to her friend of Australian origin. "Well, I was walking home from school one day, when I ran into a group of jerks wanting my money," she began, "But when they approached me, I heard thunder and they just fell to the ground, covered in shock marks. Would you happen to know what's going on?"
Crimson sighed deeply before looking at Rainbow. He knew exactly what she was talking about, but continued to speak to her. He made sure that nobody was around the two of them before Crimson began to speak. "I know what you have, and I happen to have one as well. This...'evil spirit', you may say." Crimson nodded before getting into details. "This might seem like a strange cosmic coincidence, it, but it is not . What you believe to have been a one-time even was merely a powerful vision, created from your own life energy. And because it appears next to you, that vision is called a Stand"
"A stand" Crim corrected her before continuing. "Stands can only be seen by other Stand users, so by appearance to the guys who tried to collect the toll from you, they never seen anything at all before your stand protected you. Sometimes a sometimes using their powers without direct orders in order to protect the user, and by extension, themselves." All the senior student could do was sigh. "This might seem overwhelming to you right now, but I suppose that you will learn in time. If you ever find yourself in a bad situation, your stand might be able to help"
"Well..." said Rainbow Dash, understatedly, "Thanks, Crim. I should probably do a bit of research on this Stand stuff."
Crim nodded. "Likely for the best, although this isn't just an overnight thing. Incase CHS has other stand users, I would advise not summoning it. Bring you stand out whenever you feel like you want to protect yourself and vice versa"
"I'll... keep that in mind," said Rainbow Dash. ----- At lunchtime, Rainbow Dash went to the library to do a little research. She logged onto a computer and found the information she was looking for: A Stand is a type of spiritual guardian, most commonly associated with members of the Joestar family, though due to the complexity of the Joestar family tree, this is not always the case. Rainbow Dash wondered if these Joestars had any connection to her Stand, as well as if it could explain her star-shaped birthmark...
Crimson had been keeping to himself lately, not out of the fact he didn't want to hang with them, but in the sense that he wanted to keep them safe. A worrying rumor that surrounded Canterlot was that it currently housed a great evil, an evil that was lingering much longer then it should have. Whatever the group was doing, it seemed to be because of the sudden spike in the number of stand users. But where was it coming from... What's worse, Canterlot High seemed like an attractive target....
Rainbow Dash decided that now would be the time to ask her adopted parents about her true family. So, once she came home from school, she talked to her mother. "Mom, who are my real parents?" she asked.
Rainbow's mother sadly turned to face her. "Rainbow, things were difficult when we first found you. Me and your father had just married and got our first home together, but you seemed to have been dropped at the front of our door during the middle of the night. We weren't only just surprised, but your birthmark confused us. We didn't know what it means, maybe your birth parents thought of it as a bad omen?"
Rainbow Dash sighed. Clearly this wasn't getting anywhere. She decided to be more direct. "Well... do you at least know who they were?" she asked. "They did leave an envelope in the basket," her mother replied, "It said it was for you to open once you were old enough... I suppose now is the time." She handed her adoptive daughter a sealed envelope. Rainbow Dash opened it and began to read: To our beloved daughter, We wish we would have lived to see your growth, but unfortunately, we will be long dead by the time you read this. We were being attacked, and so we felt it necessary to preserve your life above our own. You must have a lot of questions, so we're going to answer them as simply as possible. Regarding the birthmark on your shoulder blade: that is no ordinary birthmark. That is the mark of a powerful, influential and widespread family. It means that you aren't just a normal person. Your birthname is Jordan Joestar. We are telling you this in the event that your adoptive parents have renamed you completely. Don't be ashamed. Be proud. And above all, take care of yourself. The next day Canterlot High started school like usual, until a mid-sized man with a slim build walked into the courtyard. His attire is composed of a brown and purple coat covered in small black bomb-like symbols, his bright pink shoulder-length hair was one of the more unique characteristics of the man as he walked towards the school, before stopping just short of the main lobby. He looked at his jacket and took off one of the buttons of his shirt and threw it towards the statue behind him, the button sticking to the horse statue like glue. A mere moment later, the statue was violently blown to shreds in a horrifically powerful explosion as a means to get attention. He just smirked before entering the main building, letting the students and teachers be distracted by the sudden explosion of the centerpiece of the school while this killer went for his target. One rainbow haired girl.
Rainbow Dash had prepared for this, however. Against Crim's wishes, and in order to get stronger and more in touch with her Stand, she had been training. Suddenly, she noticed the strange man out of the corner of her eye. "Thought you'd catch me off guard, huh?" she asked, back facing him.
The man just shook his head before a smirk escaped his face. "No, I have you exactly where I want you..." All of a sudden, two ghostly hands suddenly appeared out of his shoulders and threw another button bomb, except at superhuman speeds like a bullet. The first bomb missed Rainbow on purpose, but it hit the end of the hallway behind her and blew most of it sky-high, hopefully having the velocity of the shockwave sending her towards him
