Oh Hasbro... Why you so... Something genuinely terrible has happened. Hasbro, in their undying corporate wisdom, has send a C&D (cease and desist) letter to a fan group called Mane6 Studios. The group has been working together for over a year now on the fan created video game, My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic. The game, surprisingly, kept itself on the straight and narrow, while Mane6 could easily have just put together yet another pony gorefest, they kept each of the characters to their own unique personalities. Every character in the game looked, sounded, and acted, just as they do in the show. The game was a fan project, created by fans, for fans, and was completely non profit. However, less than 24 hours ago, Hasbro pulled the plug on the project, ordering that Mane6 "cease any further use of [their] MY LITTLE PONY property" Everyone, video games are art. Regardless of whether you play them or not, video games in and of themselves are art. We bronies have practically created our own sub-genre for artistic expression. We have original animation, original music, original pictures, and original stories, plus so much more. We cannot allows this to happen, we have a knack for grouping together when we most need to, and now is no different! This project deserves to see the light of day! I understand it's not much, but at the moment, it's all I, with my limited resources, can do. Please, even if you don't like fighting games, sign this petition. Even if it's merely a dent, we need to let our voices be heard! I want this post to be open for suggested actions to help the cause. I know that we, as bronies, tend to avoid conflict, choosing a more peaceful approach. But guys... This is something worth fighting for. EDIT: Man I'm slow.
