It just occurred to me I could actually use you guys help for one of my school assignments, that is My Little Pony related. I have to write an essay about the history of the MLP tv show starting from it's first appearance in the 80's all the way up to FiM season 2 premier. The Essay needs to include as much information as possible about the actual production of the show, how was it conceived? How was is marketed? It's Casting and animation? Basically i'm asking if any of you know of good places to find this information. The only non G4 content I have watched is a My Little Pony movie, with a brony commentary and even that was painful to watch. I am seriously scared about watching any more early MLP. Hopefully I won't have to resort to that in my research.

My little pony history, Huh? It all goes back to 1981 when it was first introduced to hasbro and launched in 1982. After a few years later, The Ponies got there show in 1984 and ended in 1987. The Show ran for three years but it wasn't till 1992 when My little Pony Tale was made but Pony tale was the first show to make pop culture reference to kids back then but not done well. Ran in 1992 to late 1992 and bit the dust. In the 2000's there we G3 ponies and the show were basic as the original in the 80's but more...Gah...childish. Can't tell you a whole lot of G3 but G1 and G2 i can. ----------------------------- Production on the Shows the 80's My little pony was all Hand Drawn at the time. Pony Tale?.... I want to To say it was animated on computers but still looks hand drawn and G3?...... Next. We all Know about G4, so you do the math.
Lol, yeah. I have ponified my school work wherever possible. But it is still less fun then just enjoying the fandom. Out of maybe 15 assignments I have to pass the course 2 are about MLP.

As an aside, was it the Otaku Ascended commentary that you watched Setzer? Good luck with the project, all I know about where to find info is Wikipedia.
Yes I watched the MLP Movie commentary on theOtakuAscended Youtube channel. I have also seen all of their g4 commentaries. I was bored, don't judge me.
