i know it was very empowering, i loved how he broke down the harsh stereotyping that was brought upon rainbow dash and princess celestia
It's nice to see people giving reviews like this, where it's not just that it's positive, but there is adequate substance to back up their reasoning. I would honestly prefer someone to give a list of reasons why they don't like the show rather than just say they like the show without saying why. Luckily, this guy gave praise and an explanation as to why it was deserved. However, despite how good it was, I must admit I'm not really interested in reviews on the show. I know I like it, and considering reviews are meant to be informative, there's very little reason for me to watch it, as I already know what it's like. Unfortunately, most reviews are just complete rubbish, and don't inform you at all. They just make up a load of nonexistent points to appeal to a blatant bias. They don't consider that people have different opinions, or that having a deeper knowledge of the television industry doesn't make their opinion any more important than anyone elses. It's because of things like that I only judge shows once I've watched them, no matter who says what about them before hand.
WOW, a positive review. At least now maybe so haters will give it a try. If I saw this review before a became a brony, I'd be more inclined to watch the show. While a review is one persons opinion, it can help me decide weather or not to try something. I'm basing that statement off video game reviewers, so it doesn't carry much weight for cartoons. At least he defended Rainbow Dash, stupid haters.
I freakin love this review. It not only explain to newbiews-to-the-show why "MLP: FiM" is so popular with even grown-up guys, it can even get those people hooked to the show as well. It also told me some stuff about the makers of the show that I didn't know about, like that the creator "My Life as a Teenage Robot" is also on the production crew, and that B Studios also helped in making "Eek the Cat". I would definetly use this video review to get a friend into becoming a fan of the show or at least try watch the first two eps.
