I'm using Sony Vegas to edit my LP videos, and there's some effects I see in all kinds of videos that I can't figure out to do.

First and foremost, how do I make a still image spin rapidly off-screen? To clarify:

I make that image pop up when I mention Shoopufs, and after a couple of seconds of just standing there, I want it to spin wildly and fly off-screen, like someone threw it. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with using keyframes, but whenever I do a spinning motion, it spirals around instead of spinning on its center. Furthermore, I can't find a way to keep the image still until right at the very end, nor can I figure out how to move it while is "spirals" (closest thing to spinning I've achieved).

Edit: I figured out how to get the pic to move only when I want it to: splitting it at the moment I want it to do something. But I still can't figure out how to make it spin and fly off-screen.

EDIT EDIT: I found out how to make it spin with Track Motion, but I want to spin and fly off-screen in an arcing motion, but I only know how to do a straight line.

Another question: how do I do shaking or pulsating text/picture effects, a la JonTron? For example:

    http://youtu.be/l69BP1uhlMs?t=12m18s

    Any help would be appreciated.

Step 1: Place image on the timeline. (No image needed here)

Step 2: Go to image pan/crop. (Again, no image needed)

Step 3: There should be, on the very bottom portion of the popup that appears with clicking pan/crop, a mini timeline with diamonds. Like so:

Step 4: Click on the mini timeline (Anywhere, depending on how fast you want the image to shake) and press the + sign. (Create Keyframe) A new diamond should appear.

Step 5: Move image anywhere you want, keeping the line on the second diamond.

Step 6: Repeat for multiple image motions over a set period of time. Set different positions on each keyframe so that the image will appear to move in a variety of ways.

To make an image fly off the screen, simply create a fade out on said image, go to Video Transitions, and find a video transition that has an exit that you like; it doesn't have to be to transition between clips, it can be to exit and enter as well.

To make an image not clip out in the middle of the screen and instead transition out on the actual edges of the video, go to the side of the Event Pan/Crop menu and set 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' to 'No'.

Hope this helped at least a little bit.

I can't seem to find "Video Transitions".

EDIT: I found it, but it doesn't look at all like what I'm talking about. I'm not really talking about a transition so much as I am a fun effect instead of just making the image pop up and disappear. Maybe it's done through a mixture of Track Motion and Pan/Crop keyframes? Lemme test is out.

Also, the rest of your information about numerous keyframes was extremely helpful and exactly what I needed!
