Ending Support for Internet Censorship Act article Recently, Senator Josh Hawely has provided a legislative proposal. Which, if approved, would amend Section 230. Section 230 allows legal immunity from illegal content sent by a 3rd party. This proposed amendment would remove this immunity from Big Tech companies unless they adhere to being transparent about their policies and prove to be not biased politically. This legislation will not affect medium and small tech companies and they will retain their immunity. The hope is that this legislation will help stop a large amount of censorship caused by Big Tech companies and allow everyone to be able to speak freely.
