Just a thought, but maybe it's time to add some new themes? Our current theme is okay, but it's not as appealing as it could be. Maybe I'm just too picky, but sometimes this keeps me from even checking the site. Perhaps we could add a theme for the main 6 characters, an additional two for Luna and Celestia, and a bonus for Derpy? (I'm sure you can all take a guess which one mine would be locked in at. (Hint Hint: Celestia)) I'm sure there's enough artists on this board to design something cool. If the staff doesn't think it's needed, I have no objections. It's just a suggestion after all. EDIT: If needed, I could help come up with some of the designs. I can't do the actual image editing on my own, but I could come up with something on paper and show you guys the results if you would like. I have a pretty nice idea for a Celestia theme, and we could easily reverse the idea for Luna. I would offer to do it on my own, but I'm not very familiar with image editing programs.
There's one for Pinkie Pie (but it's SOOO PIIINK!) Look at the bottom of the site, there's a spot for changing backgrounds.
I'm aware of that, I meant that we should add some new themes to the box. The one for Pinkie Pie could be highly improved upon in my opinion. I don't want my eyes to bleed from pink. Both of the EPN Spring designs are the same, except for some slight differences. The only other option is extremely boring. We need some flavor added to the mix.
I still prefer the original Pinkie Pie theme with the sky blue background, but everyone else in the beta forum preferred the pink one. I've grown accustomed to it though. Also, what Rarit said. :derpe:
To address your first paragraph, that's what the beta-testing forum is for. It's purpose is to give members a chance to offer their opinions on the themes before it gets properly released. As for the actual topic of the thread. I think that there should be more themes. Mike's been pretty busy with the forum stuff for now, although he did hint for a Rarity or Twilight theme in the future.
I personally like the Pinkie theme. If it had less pink, it would to me just feel less... Pinkie. It seems the most suited colour, and I'm kinda a fan of the colour anyway. I'm happy with it. :3
I think an interesting feature would be different forum icons for each theme. Example: For a Rainbow Dash theme, the icon would be Dash's cutie mark. For a Celestia theme, it would be her cutie mark, etc.
I have a few more themes planned, you can join the Beta group to gain access to the beta forums if you would like as I post updates there. I have been busy as of late (college, tests, etc) so theme changes have been slow, and I apologize for this. During one of my upcoming vacation periods I will see to finishing another.
