"Do you hear that?" Asked a mare, baring resemblance to Rarity, directing the question towards her husband. "Stay quiet!" He added. "Lieutenant General Einheria! The Element of Generosity is in that building!" Yelled one of the soldiers, wearing intricate armor with the insignia of the Dawnstar Unit. "Good job, Private! I'll lead the charge! How are defenses looking?" "Weak, ma'am." "Good, on my go!" Einheria charged a spell, and used around the secluded house. "That should cancel out the element's power, now go!" The 30 members of the Dawnstar Unit charged the building, and busted down the door, pointing guns at the mare and her husband. "I don't want to hurt you, Jewel, if you hand over the element, I'll let you go with your husband." Einheria said, looking Rarity's Daughter dead in the eye. "You won't take us!" Yelled Jewels, before charging a blast of energy with the element, however, the power of it faded, as Einheria forcefully ripped the neck piece off Jewel's neck, and ordering her men to take her into custody. "Job well done, men! Drinks are on me tonight!" She added. "Once you take her to the Council for a trial, settle down in the tavern, I have to contact Central Command." "Yes Ma'am!" They added, as they tied up their prisoners, and let Einheria use the radio. She turned it on, and tuned it in to the frequency of the Council of 6. A echoey, male voice answered. "Hello?" "Councilman Alternis! This is Lieutenant General Einheria Rose! We have captured the Element of Generosity!" "Good job, Einheria. Say, come to the Council Chambers as soon as you can, we have a new assignment for you." "Yes sir!" "Keep up the good work Lieutenant. Alternis out!" Static. Einheria walked out of the house, wondering what her next assignment was.
Being head of the Special operations corps, Scarlet acted more behind the scenes coordinating... special operations. Seeing as the anti-harmonists didn't have a specific uniform she wore a simple black leather jacketwith her rank attached to the sleeves of lieutenant general. She was at the doors of the headquarters ready to meet Einheria and take her to the meeting.
A group of Recon units traveled through a thick forest, they were on a scouting mission. They had to be sure that they can get civilians through the forest safely, the unit had already killed several packs of timberwolves, and they kept proceeding their mission. Reckoning, a rather large earth pony was with that unit, keeping behind them just incase something or somepony tries to attack them. He was very young to be in the Sapphire Dragons, a freelancer military who could and/or would serve both sides of the war. He could hear very well, and because of his hardline training Reckoning's senses were superior to those around him. He looked around, only seeing a ruined forest, "Hey kid, you alright? Not scared of the "dark" forest are ya'?" Reckoning turned half of his attention on the pony who asked the question, he was a Lieutenant General, "Of course not," Reckoning replied, "But you better keep your senses high, we're being watched."
A few hours later, Einheria made it back to Appleloosa, and was directed by the secretary to go to Scarlet Conviction's office. Einheria had met the head of Special Operations before, but she had never really became friends with her. She walked into the office, and saluted. "Scarlet Conviction, Ma'am! Lieutenant General Einheria Rose reporting for duty!"
"Get those crates loaded onto that train ASAP. We don't have all day here." Said Starnsy to the various workhorses loading said crates onto the train. She cringed as she heard a violent thud of one of the crates being unceremoniously dropped onto the floor of the train car. "And be careful!! We got enough explosives here to level a good chunk of a mountain and blow this train to kingdom come." "Aye ma'am, sorry about that." Said one of the laborers. Starnsy leaned against the train and rubbed her temples, today was gonna be a long day, oh she could just tell. The weather pointed to it, and the headache that she had that just didn't seem to want go away pointed to it as well. "What's gonna happen today..." "Aye miss! Crates ar' all loaded up 'n ready t' go!" The green explosive mare glanced over to see them closing the sliding door of the container and she stretched, popping her spine as she trotted over to make sure everything was secure. "Fine work boys. Thank you. I'll see that your payment is delivered to you promptly." She climbed into one of the civilian traincars, and took a seat near one of the windows and leaning back. The seat wasn't comfortable in the least, but it was good enough for a brief respite. Falling asleep wasn't what she planned on doing either. In times liek this, one couldn't afford to do so. The train lurched forward and began its slow chug along to accelerate.
"We're both Lieutenant generals so no need to go all formal. The only thing separating us is that you chose to be on the field. Anyway I hear from your reports you have captured the element of generosity. While the council of six will want to destroy it. I and the science corps propose a counter offer." Scarlet sat on her desk and took a sip of the coffee on the desk waiting for a reply.
The giant earth-pony stood behind his desk. Information was being sent to him by the numbers; he was monitoring numerous black-and-white television screens attached to the many security cameras, listening to the talks on the battlefields via radio, and was reading any telegrams sent through to him informing of anything his men believed he should be informed of. Being head of the secret police and also in charge of the prison-camps, intelligence agency, advanced science division, and communications as well as being the overhead of the special operation units, overseeing what was being done, and helping out strategies and such, he knew everything about everything and everyone. There wasn't anything that he couldn't see or hear, and he had eyes and ears everywhere. He was planning on turning the anti-harmonist movement into something more: an empire. He would expand his movement, the National Socialist Worker's Party, as to which his loyal men were part of. Upon this, he would try to convince his superiors to try his idealistic methods, creating a great Empire like non in Equestrian history...
"Ah yes, I have it right here." Einheria took it out a steel briefcase and slided it onto Scarlet's desk, before putting her hoof on top. "Your Offer?"
Shermane looked out over the expanse of the of the mountain pass just north of Fillydelphia from atop of a small cliff, overlooking the tracks. He and his squad were stationed at small outpost among many located just far enough north to be able to raid, pillage, or outright obliterate any supply train command deemed necessary along the track to Manehatten. He turned and decided to head back to his camp. The small gathering of tents was well hidden in cave just far enough to back to be concealed by the cliff edge. As he trotted by, the rest of his squad were in the large mess tent almost touched the ceiling of the cave, arguing with each other over cards. He smiled as trotted by, heading to the radio tent and waited for orders by the team radiopony.
Cari looked down at her companion, as they walked through the long grass. Her small cat looked back up at her, his purring heard even from the ground. She gave him a smile, and was about to speak when she heard the click of a crossbow. She froze, and turned her head as a brutish stallion emerged from the shadows.
Starnsy watched out of the window as the train chugged along towards Manehattan. This was an unusually large shipment, but she didn't complain. Business was booming and this was the biggest shipment she'd ever had delivered. She was alert, yet found herself strangely lulled by the train's gentle chugging. "I swear... This chair is a literal pain in the rump... " She got up and rubbed her neck, trotting out between the train cars to get some fresh air. "It's pretty rare to get a quiet moment to oneself in times like this..." She said to nopony in particular.
Project Arkham wandered about in a recently bombed city. "Must find survivors. Must crush tiny horses." he grunted, searching throughout the city, lifting up rubble when needed.
"I offer a way to win this war by turning the energy of the elements from a way to kill to equestria's most powerful fuel. One of these is said to power one tenth of both the mild west and equestria combined. I also offer an assignment that will cement you and your squad in history, getting and capturing the element of magic. In the right setting on its own can power 5 times that of a regular element. Combine that with all other elements and boom, Equestria can supply enough power to fuel the entire continent. In theory at least." Scarlet spoke in a way she always spoke when giving orders and speeches. A voice that oozed confidence and assurance as well as a boost to morale.
Cari fluttered her eyes at the stallion, smiling sweetly. The stallion stared at her, confusion clouding his eyes. Then, he blinked, and shook his head. "Give me all the bits you have, or I'll shoot you in the heart." She sighed sadly, pouting. "Oh, what a shame! I was just thinking what a handsome stallion you were!" she said, sauntering up to the stallion. She simpered and leaned in, as if to whisper something in his ear. And then, she slid the dagger into his belly. She quickly removed the dagger, and searched the stallion, getting about 70 bits, and his crossbow. He struggled, trying to attack her, but the wound was too deep. "Didn't your mother ever teach you manners?"she said, shaking her head with genuine pity in her eyes. She sighed, and dropped an arrow right in front of his face. "Here, use this to ward off the animals. I think there was a road over there somewhere. Go get some help, and find another hobby." She murmured, nodding to herself. "Leave it to the big fillies." "Come on, Tom!" she exclaimed, and the cat leaped onto her back, and they ran off, heading towards the city. Spoiler: Tom, Cari's Cat.
"Sorry. I can't do that. If I give you this element, those scientists will do nothing but exploit it and use it for the war. In the end, we'll become exactly what we're fighting: A society who uses the elements. I'd rather give this to the council so they can lock it away." Einheria put the briefcase back in her bag, and the secretary came into the room. "Einheria, Sir Alternis wishes to see you." "Tell him I'll be on my way. See you Scarlet." Einheria walked out of Scarlet's office, into the chambers of Councilman Alternis. He was a pony in deep black armor covering his entire body. "Einheria. Do you have the element?" "Yes sir!" Einheria passed the briefcase to Alternis. He opened it, and saw the element. "Good job. Now I have a new assignment. There's an assassin named Sicariusa Brittlevine. She mainly wanders around the country side, attacking refugees in self defense. But she has been seen attacking high priority Anti-Harmonists, and for this, she must be brought to justice." "It will be done, Sir Alternis." Einheria said. "Good. One more thing. She has an... unique way of making people do things. Be careful." "Thank you sir, I will get on it right away!" Einheria ran out of the office, towards the tavern. "Dawnstar Unit! We have a new assignment!"
Cari chattered amiably with her cat as they wandered through the wilderness. "I feel badly, honestly, but I can't help feel that he had it coming, you know?" "Mew." "My thoughts exactly. I mean, seriously? You attack me for my money?" "Purr." "Right. So, do you think I did the right thing? I should have given him a dagger. But who knows how good he might have been with that thing? I couldn't risk it." "Meow." The conversation continued as they walked along.
Starnsy was, in a word... 'Bored.' The train ride was taking forever. "You would think that they would have a more efficient way of transportation... Then again, you can't really airdrop in explosives without it being a bombing so..." She chuckled at her own joke as she trotted back to the caboose, leaning on the railing on the back of it, watching the scenery go by. "At least I'm getting paid..."
After a bit of waiting, a message squeaked over the radio. "Attention Abel, this is Foxtrot at OP 341, we've spotted an unknown train moving through the pass towards your position, it'll be there in about 10 mikes. Civilian markings but there's no records of the markings on it. Some of the boys are thinking it to be disguised supply run but it's up to you on what to do, over." Shermane thought for a moment before taking the mic. "Copy that. Abel will be moving on it shortly and checking it out. If it's Harmonist, we'll steal some supplies. If it's not, make it look like a bandit attack. Will radio back when mission's complete, over." "Roger that Abel, good hunting." The radiopony hurried out towards armory tent while Shermane hurried for the mess tent. "Ready up squad, we got an unknown train moving towards us and we got less than 10 to be ready for it!" The squad hurried out passed him towards the armory tent and gathered while Shermane continued on. "You know the drill, standard ambush positions! Zooka and Cloud hurry over to the right side of the tracks while the rest of us stay on the left. Aim to disable the engine with that rocket launcher, then we'll move in on it's flank!" One of his squadmates hurried by and passed him his rifle and pistol. "By the books, ponies!" With 6 minutes, the ponies were well hidden the brush and forest around the track, waiting for the train to pass.
Starnsy continued to lean on the railing at the back of the train, each pouch of her vest filled with explosives of every shape and size, and detonators for all of them. She left her Grenade launcher in a briefcase in the sleeper car, and she had an M1911 strapped to the outside of her thigh for protection. " She watched as the train went through a tunnel and then back out again. She took a deep breath and sighed. "Gotta love that fresh air... Don't get much of it in Ponyville nowadays... What with all the soot... And dust..." The train began to come up upon a dense part of track, surrounded by shrubs and bushes and whatnot.
As the engine came in view, a heavy-set pony popped up from the bushes aiming a bazooka at the engine. He fired it off when the train was good 200m away. the rocket impact the front of the engine and exploded, leaving a massive burnt hole on the front. The trained jerked back hard enough to throw anypony off their hooves before it began grinding to a stop. The pony ducked back down as the rest of the squad up beside and behind it as it skidded on. Shermane jumped in between the caboose and the passenger car before but opted for taking the car closer to the front, leaving the caboose to one of his fellow squad members. He scrambled inside, rifle drawn, and fired a shot into the air. "Everypony get down, now! This is a raid but not for your money! Just stay calm and everything will be okay!" His squad mates that entered passengers any passenger cars followed suite while a few remained outside checking the containers and creates on the transport cars.
