Should be genderless, I know... I think they based it off the original definition. But NY Times recognized us so yay.
I don't know about other female fans, but I kinda dislike "pegasister". I just call myself a brony. I hate it when women think there needs to be a special term or whatever for them. =P I'm just one of the guys and will stand proudly with them as a brony xD Besides, I'm such a tomboy anyway, the only thing stopping me from being a dude is my lack of outdoor plumbing xD But that's so awesome, that we got into the NY Times, haha.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the pegasister term either. I think brony is perfect for guys and girls. We all love MLP, we shouldn't need separate terms. It's exactly what it means "separate".
